Make one up yourself.... For you and your son... Hes old enough that simply traveling would probably work... I load my car up with 3 kids all 8 and under. We go for rides in and out of state... We rent camp sites or cheap motels (that are clean) spend a night and continue our adventures... Some nights we have just crashed at truck stops which in most cases are safe when you lock the doors.
We check the Internet for towns we may pass through or visit to see whats there and what to check out before we drive through. Check costs, free places like museums are always fun!!! Harbors, inner cities, aquariums... Just be creative.

How about a white water rafting trip? Or a hiking trip? Or a camping trip - someplace that has canoes and horseback riding and such. Or take him to a big city that he's never been to and get tix in advance to a really awsome game.

Any adventure holiday - most lads (mine is the same age) would love that. Rafting, horse riding, scrambling, climbing, canoeing/camping. And that's just day one...
