You are just fine :) I am 5'6" and 140 pounds and even though that shows abotu average on BMI calculators, most days I feel too skinny-except for my baby gut (2 children, one just a baby still). I am about a medium frame btw.

I'm 5' 6" and am 116 at the moment, but am small framed (size 2).
I don't know if all the people avoid you because you're overweight... I tend to think it might be the reason for SOME but rarely it is for all the people.
I was avoided when I was a teen, and yet I was a size 4. It pretty much depended on the fact they didn't like my attitude. In some things they were right, in some they were not. I didn't find out till I got the guts to ask them.
So ask them, and they will tell you. Then, decide what you are willing to change and what you aren't, and remember to take responsibility for what you chose to be rather than blaming it on others. It's very important!

I really don't think it will be your weight that is the problem but if you really want to lose weight then. . .
First of all please don't go on a fad diet. . . the weight will come off easily but then you'll gain the weight again soon. What you need to do is exersize daily-around half an hour to an hours worth and remember you only start burning fat after half an hour of exersize, any exersize less than half an hour is just burning glucose.
Then you need to start eating less-some people like three small meals a day or you can have 5-6 even smaller meals if you snack a lot. But try not to snack on unhealthy options-go for fruit or celery. If you want do allow yourself a treat every now and again. Good Luck!

Do you know how many people would be thrilled to weigh 158 pounds??? You should not feel bad about your weight.
I don't see how this could be your problem.
Do you like people? Do you get along good with them? Do you blend in with conversation; allowing both sides to talk? You can't go wrong when you find something to compliment about somebody. Something that stands out about them or maybe not. Just make sure it is really true.
Is your appearance average? which is good. Clothes neat and clean?
Do you have good hygiene? Take care of your skin, hair and teeth?
I've tried to cover most things.
I hope things work out for you. Give yourself a chance to get to know people. Do you have a special friend?

You are a little heavy for your age and height but not grossly so. could be you just have not lost the baby fat yet. I doubt that you are being avoided due to being a large girl. You might want to take a harder look at the inner you....hard t do.....but what kind of vibes do you send.....Are you sending out I dont like me because of my weight so you wont like me stay away. Or are you happy with who and what you are and let it show through your words and actions. Teenagers are the cruelest of all human beings without even realizing it most of the time. If they are truly people you would like to get to know and hang with make the first move by striking up a conversation. If they dont bite then that is their loss. Be sure to do what is best for yourself health wise be the best person you can be by reaching out to those less fortunate and be happy with yourself. Being a teenager (especially one that feels unpopular) sucks but it is really for a very short time.

I know that the ideal weight for me is 143 lbs and I'm 5'7" so maybe you should consider loosing a few pounds. But dont do it for your fellow teenagers. Trust me high school will be gone before you know it and your life will begin in a whole new world. A world where you need to be healthy, not worry about what teens think. Teens can be very cruel.

Your weight is NOT a measure of being fat or not.
You may have strong muscles and excellent bone frame, these two contribute a lot more to your weight than the body-fat.
Both of them (muscle and bones) are good to have as strong as possible at your age, because we tend to loose them as we get older.
If you pinch your tummy and come up with more than an inch or so, than you might have some extra body fat to loose.
To do that you just have to avoid simple carbs and sugars and get into a good exercise program. Cut TV and computers and get out, do some sports, that will help you to make more friends and improve your health in general.

According to BMI, you are just into being "overweight". But, if you are large-framed, I don't think it is that much of a problem. If you really think you need to lose weight, talk to your parents and your doctor to see how healthy you are, what diet changes you should make, and what exercises are best for your fitness level. Don't worry too much. You are 15, and you are still growing and developing.

You might want to watch what you are eating. Because trust me even though everyone now a days tries to tell you "that it doesn't matter how you look" it does. Your physical appearance must be pleasant. So try to watch what you eat cut on anything extra. Eat lots of veggies and some fruit, drink water instead of juices and all the sodas. Exercise daily!! Also no eating after 6pm. You will have results

According to the BMI you are just slight in the overweight catagory and if you are healthy, its time to evaluate what you eat, but I don't think that would be the reason that people are avoiding you at all costs. Maybe your self esteem needs a boost? At 15, try to develop good eating habits. Maybe positive body/self image would be a help. If you are having problems developing friendships, there may be other causes.
