You are fine. My mom had me and my brother 18 months apart by c-section, and that was when c-sections were much more dangerous. Talk to your doc about the specifics. There are considerations such as whether to have another c-section or VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). I would make an appoint. Good luck!!

I guess that depends on whether you're asking about the gap will affect you or your kids. If you're talking about yourself, that's a question only your doctor can answer.

But if you're talking about your kids... DH and I were discussing this last night. We've been told that a gap of less than two years or more than five is best. If they are close in age, they will be great friends. If there's more than five years difference, they will not compete with each other, but you'll have a great big brother/sister dynamic.

If you hit somewhere in between (as my sister and I did - 3 yrs apart) the kids wind up having just enough age difference to be neither. We were never close. Just as I outgrew something, she was getting interested in it. We did attend the same schools at times, so she grew up in my shadow. She was too close to my age for me to have that "Protective Big Sister" complex. In short, we never got along, and I always felt it was because of our age difference.

Doctors usually recommend that you wait for at least 12 months wait after a c-section, so i think you are clear for another pregnancy now. all the best
