It’s so heartbreaking when I see my preceding girlfriend. She has told me that she is happy and she has asked me. I was like yeah I am even though deep down I know I am not. But she moved on so why not be happy right? I don’t know—something I wish I could turn time back… I refuse to move on with my life over the matter. What do you think?

your still not over her. That's your problem. You still have feelings for her. That's hard to over come. You'll only be able to get over that with time. Some people take longer than others. What I do when I break up with someone is NEVER talk to them again. I don't want to know how they are doing..I don't want to know if they still care for me. I don't want to know anything about them and act like if they never existed. And if I do see them.. I just keep on walking. That may sound harsh. But it's my way of dealing with it. You will have to find your own way to handle this.

If you’re heartbroken and someone who broke your heart is asking you if you are all right. Tell them the truth. "No, I'm really not." The ONLY people that ask," how are you ", are people that care about you.
Just keep in mind that what was, will never be again. Remember the differences you had and why the relationship broke.
Then look deep inside and ask yourself. “Am I missing the romance or is it the friendship that once was there.” Just because you are over romantically. Maybe there is a friendship?
(If the relationship ended in turmoil or bad blood then the other person would care less on “how you were”)

i do know that when we refuse to move on that it can cause us alot of emotional pain that we don't need. we can't turn back time, we can only control the future. refusing to move on keeps u trapped in the unhappy, keeps u wishing for some miracle that may never come. in each life we go through some bad things, that are painful, but why stay in the pain because we are stubborn. there is no other way to get rid of heartbreak, but to move on and accept the truth. we sometimes are our own worst enemy. we are responsible for our own happiness, as long as we stay in the past, we will feel hurt, u need to distance yourself from her, and wait and see how it goes. don't hold up your future waiting on your dream, that may never come.

Its better that you accept this truth that your relationship with the girl is over now and she will never turn back. You will never get passed times back no matter how desperately you want them .
Just learn from your mistakes and move on that's the law of nature. Tell me one thing ...Can you get shredded leaf back on the tree ? No the tree can only have new leaf instead.

Everything takes time. And that's what life gives you...time.
Have you heard of "out of sight, out of mind"? I read one posting here that said its best you don't see her, talk to her, etc. I completely agree with that.
I do believe that things happen for a reason. I also believe that one door closes so a better one can open. There's a country song about a man who loved his high school sweetheart. She left him and he found out years later what a disaster she would have been in his life. It's called "Unanswered Prayers". Look it up.
If you believe this way, you will be more at peace with what happened. I hope you are soon.

Well it's like they say, what you think is what you get. If you know love hurt, better turn back time so you never bother love in the first place.
Hey dude cheer up. Focus on something else like getting a new lover if your so down. That's what I think is best for you. Get your fishing pole and go catch yourself another fish in the sea.

You need to move on. You dont want to be in pain forever right? Just look at it as a blessing. Someone better will come along in time, but dont rush into it.
