A body is useless without apirit, a spirit is more powerful without a body. But God forbids suicide, becauase He wants us to go to training onearth and enjoy the good things in His physical world. In enjoying the eternallly good things and to worship God in the spiritual world, we don't need this physical body.

well a brain would be useless with out a body and a body with out a brain would be just a pointless. But in some cases there are a few people sorry loads of people that don't have much of brain. but logically no it would be useless both ways lol

no, look at it this way.

Body = Car.

Soul(what your calling spirit) = driver.

without a driver, the car isn't very useful.

but the driver doesn't neccesarily need the car, in order to do things. just... different things.

a soul is much more limited "here" without a body, because it would be much more difficult to interact with the physical world.

though, the body isn't *entirely* useless without a soul, its just nowhere near *as* useful.

"useless" is not the operative word. "dead" is. You don't have a spirit, you are a spirit. Body without breath is dead. There is no "breath" without a body to breathe!

Basing on your question, because I dont have any stance on this belief. In thoery yes... to a stage.
The mortal body would be for the development of the spirit, for it to attain a higher level, what that is, f**k knows.
So my answer is maybe.

There is no answer to this question, other than theories.

Spirits don't exist outside the alcohol industry.
