Wouldn't it make far more sense that a being that created us all would want us to be one planet of individuals, at peace with ourselves and one another, rather than nearly 200 different countries at war?

I just think somehow, we've taken a wrong turning somewhere. I really hope somehow we can find our path again.

Interesting question ,here's my take on the matter of religion. I feel religion is,at best like a fig leaf developed by man as an attempt to bridge the gap between himself and God.

Any substitute formed by man will never fully meet the demands of our faithful God. All He asks is that we enter into a relationship with Him, that is so much more then a set of rules or precepts to live by.

To my mind, Christianity offers us so much based in the context of a loving,sharing walk with our father in heaven. Why settle for a doctrine based on a set of rules with we can have everything rooted in His love.

I Agree. Alot of people i know (who used to be quite good friends) have now seperated themselves following the contrevercy of the war in Iraq and the Islamic terrorist attacks (some of my friends were muslim) and alot are converting to other religions because they are unsure of what to do because they feel that they are already divided. I think its quite sad to see friends divide like this. Most of my friends are now scared of Muslims (I was at one point, i was in london a few days before the 7/7 bombings and i was around the same place). I hope people can realise this shouldnt divide us.

Yes your right in what you say, but you are forgetting one thing, MAN, man over the years has changed religion so he can control, and make a profit from it, the truth form God often forgotten as many lose their way.
We need to forget religion now and move to something much stronger FAITH, faith in ourselves as well as in God, but we must also accept that we are to blame for many things that God gets the blame for, man kind aways tries to blame someone else for his mistakes, we need to learn again, learn to Love, to trust, and be trusted.
