Chicken Stroganoff (serves 4 - 6)
This recipe uses left over roast chicken, but I use raw chicken breast or boned thigh, cut into cubes and browned in a little oil first.
2 x large onions, finely chopped
2 x garlic cloves, chopped or squashed
Olive oil (for browning)
Generous amount of button mushrooms, sliced
Glug of vodka (or white wine)
1/2 a pint chicken stock
Large bunch of parsley chopped
2 x teaspoons paprika (adjust according to taste)
Small carton double cream
Knob of butter
Salt and pepper.
1. Dust the chicken with the paprika and seasoning and then lightly brown in a frying pan.
2. Sweat the garlic and onion in a pan til soft then set aside
3. Add more oil to the pan, brown the mushrooms over a high heat and return the chicken to the pan, then add the onion and garlic, stir well and add the vodka or wine, flambe or boil hard to reduce the liquid.
4. Add the stock, the parsley, the cream, the butter and salt and pepper. Cook for a few minutes and serve.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMEOz
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Here's fave recipe and everyone loves it
Slow cooked homemade spagettin and meatballs with bread.
First put 1 bottle of your choice Ragu sauce, 1 big can tomato paste, 1 cup chopped onions, 1 spoon crushed garlic, 1 and a half spoons sugar, fresh pepper, pinch of paprika, pinch garlic powder. Now mix really good. Add my secret ingredient for seasoning<5 thin slices of pepperoni>.
Set your crock pot for 4 hours.
Meanwhile get a pack of ground beef in a bowl. Break it up with your hands add salt and pepper to season. Add a meatloaf seasoning mix packet. then get two slices of bread cut it into small cubes and mix it all in with the beef. Now get a medium microwaveable plate. Put 4 paper towels ontop eachother on plate make your mixed fround beef into small balls and place on the plate
boil your desired noodles on the side in medium pot filled 75 percent with water and 1 teaspoon cooking oil. Lastly buy a french bread loaf or bagetter and cut. Then butter.
This is a cheap and yummy dinner. Enjoy!

I'd do something that you can prepare in advance. That way you don't need to spend lots of time in the kitchen preparing and cooking it while your family are there. Something like a casserole or a shepherds pie would be great.

get enough chicken breasts for number of diners. roll in some oregano and basil, place a thick slice of Mature cheddar on top of each breast. Wrap each breast with a slice of bacon. place all in a roasting tin, cover with foil. place in oven at 180'c. for about 60-80 mins (depending on size of chicken breasts). remove foil and return to oven to brown a bit.
I serve it with new potatoes garnished with herb butter, and steamed veg such as asparagus and carrots.
The chicken , cheese bacon thing may sound wierd to some, but it is gorgeous
