Former girlfriend is cool—she gets me contacts that I need for business, we dine at restaurants strictly as professional associates and design housing together. Me and my former girlfriend spend most of our time in our business designing homes. My girlfriend tells me that I should quit the business and sign out of my contract. I think she is jealous.

Jason - Many women fear any relationship between a man and his ex girlfriend (or any other woman for that matter). It is in part I think, because they know at one time the two of you shared an attraction and a bond. While this can be difficult for you (and by the way - Do NOT quit a job you love because of insecurity or jealousy) it is important for you to give your girlfriend some emotional support. Try not to get angry and push her away. Instead try making her feel loved and cherished. You must also look inside your heart if this does not work and make a decision on whether or not you can maintain a long term relationship and deal with her insecurities. Sometime it is worth it in the long run === sometimes it is not.

I hope this helps. It is not an easy solution. It all rests within your heart. Take your time and look deeply before you decide.

God bless.

Wow.. well honestly , i think i would be a little stressed about that too. I think you should put yourself in her shoes, and ask yourself, how would you feel, if the tables turned and it was her spending buisness time, eating out , and whatnots, with a professional ex-boyfriend of hers? And if your honest answer is that you would feel like she does now, then i would maybe invite her to your professional dinners, once in a while, and reasure her somehow that their is nothing going on. IF you dont think you'd be jealous, then i honestly think your relationship is not going to last very long, and if it does, it's going to be very stressful, and your going to use that as an excuse to run to another womans arms. And blame her for it.

i would feel truly uneasy if my boyfriend goes out with his former girlfriend even if it's for business reasons... particularly if i won't be invited once in awhile...i suggest that you introduce your gf to this former gf and invite her sometimes when you dine out. make your girlfriend feel that things are purely business with the former girlfriend. More than that, show your current girlfriend that you love her.and only her.

She's not a professional associate - she's an ex-girlfriend.

It seems to me that you need to sort out your priorities.
