The relationship with my girlfriend is great right now. In fact February 19th would make 3 months that we been together. But anyways, the only thing wrong in our relationship is her dad. Last month when he caught me with her, he told me he would kill me if he ever saw me with her again ( obviously trying to do wat's best for his daughter but i still did not appreciate it ). Then last night he yelled at her bestfriend because when he came home, he saw me and this other boy running down the street. So he yells at her and tells her that she can't be friends with his daughter anymore ( after almost 3 or 4 years ). So now if they want to be friends, they would have to pretty much snoop around and i don't like it because i think it's my fault that my girlfriend not only has to sneak around with me, but probably with her now because of his distaste for me. So should i just break up with my girlfriend so she can be with her best friend or just stay with her and keep hiding from her dad

I think that you should go and talk to her dad, when she's not there, and try and talk to him. Her dad's trying to protect her, and right now your the enemy. I also have a question, what did you do for her dad not to like you? There has to be a main reason for his mistrust of you.

Sneaking around is wrong--would make it all worse if caught. Does she know what's the problem??? Is she a kid--maybe he doesn't want her dating yet--maybe school is a priority--which should be yours now too. better look for a different girl before her dad gets wind of you two--and stop running like a child--grow up and stay away like a good guy---do the right thing...find a girl who can date. Face the facts and grow up

TALK TO THE DAD.

I am serious. How does he see you? It may seem very frightening but guaranteed if you make a good impression on him, you will be able to continue to date her.

Dress nice, go to her house, and ask to speak to him.

Let him know you have his daughter's best interest at heart and that you truly care about her. Tell him you are sorry for whatever misconceptions he has of you, but you'd like to prove those conceptions wrong. Tell him you respect him and his daughter and have her best interest at heart, too.
