LSE would probably count as being in central London but it does depend on what you mean by south.

It depends what you're interested in studying but I don't think South Bank University is particularly prestigious,as it used to be a polytechnic.

Goldsmiths and Greenwich might be worth a look.

Depends on your intended course of study really. Suggest having a look at University websites and also search for University ratings - although these aren't always a completely accurate indicator.
