if you meet somebody in a bar, they might seem nice in person but you don't know if they have alterior motives. you never know what somebody is thinking. it's just the same on the internet you have to trust your instinct. some people can seem really nice but you never really know somebody until you have been with them for a long time. some people are predictable and some people aren't it's hard to judge people whether they are sat at a computer or if you are talking to them face to face. you never know. although you could think that you are talking to a 20 year old female when in actual fact you could be talking to a 65 year old pervert. the bar is probably safer! although it does happen i don't know the answer sorry

yes i believe in this because this happened to me. i met my husband online and what transpired next was really magical, but perhaps because i wasn't expecting anything to happen either. the internet provides a venue for meeting people, this should in no way be different from a bar or any other place. the only difference is that you have a chance to know the person on different levels other than physical, because u can't see him/her and you are limited to conversing, and u should see this as a good way to know people. so it is somehow comforting to know that your love is not based only on physical terms.
i met my husband this way and to some people that may sound simply idiotic or unbelieveble, but if there is love nothing is impossible,

Love has no boundaries especially in the age of internet network so why limit yourself to meeting someone in a bar? Make it happen. It can work. But be prepared as there will be sacrifices to make once both are commited e.g. job, where to live, friends, family, perhaps religion and culture.
All the best :-)

I have heard about people starting a long term relationship this way, but for me I have always been afraid of trying. Because the person may sound all that but then when you do meet them they are completely opposite of what you want and then it is a waist of a trip.

It happened to me .. I felt in love with one boy who lived very very far from me.. and today we both have feelings but we can't meet and I am very sorry about that.. :( So, I think that falling in love over the internet is very possible.
