Meditation is always good, so there is no good and bad meditation and your attitude towards it attributes. You are what you are because of your thoughts. In your selected posture of meditation try to find out the originating place of your thought, once you succeeded in this gradually you can reduce the number of thoughts and finally you will reach a state where there is no thought. Try to experience that state of stillness. Start Now victory is yours.

GOOD OR BAD Meir meditation is useless,Buddhist meditation can be only be done after understanding eightfold path
1 right understanding- your view should be -logical,rational,experimental,just to all,
2 right aspiration-to become man like Buddha
3 right speech-based on truth ,beneficial to many,
4 right conduct-do not exploit others and do not allow yourself to be exploited.
5 right livelihood-earn lively hood by virtues means
6 right effort-eliminate bad thought,and cultivate good thought and keep good thought only.
7 right mind-fullness-mind focused on thought in mind
8 right concentration- subject related to well-being of mankind.
meditation is confused by concentration on subjects[breath ,pain,feelings] other than above.all this type of meditation are useless.so instead of meditation go for EIGHTFOLD PATH in an holistic manner ,which includes meditation as an integral part [6,7,8].no meditation without right view/understanding.

For doing good meditation you require a quite airy place and you should better do the same on early morning. Just sit in the relax position close your eyes and try concentrate in the god/guru you have faith keeping your breath normal.
