I sometimes wish I could forget a past relationship, but we do learn from our past or mistakes. All you can do is just move forward and hope for the best. Don't get caught up in a depression from that relationship, it will just hold you back.

U cant do it purposely. The more you try to forget, the more you dwell on the happy moments and why does the other fella have to do such cruel things when we were so much in love b4?
I would suggest embracing and accepting it. If you wanna think about it, just do so. One day you'll get so sick of it you'll just snap out. Meanwhile, have some supportive friends with you so there's someone who will listen to you. They wont give you advice that you wanna hear doh as most are going to be negative about it.
Btw, I'm still trying to recover myself. Just know that u r not alone.

forgetting ur past relationship is so easy if u wanted to, just try to be busy and do something who could help u to forget, just bear in mind that maybe you're not meant to be and look for someone who is not like ur past...............10

I wish I had the answer to this. I have been in love with the same man, married him, divorced recently, love of my lift since high school. 20 some years, and he could care less if I live or die. It sucks.
