(I know some of u will say that is bulls***t! but it does happen I hav felt like that b4 & so have a few of my friends, as u just feel that u don't want to hav to answer to anyone & u just don't want to feel tied down at that stage no matter how well u get on wit that person! But what if in the process of u 2 bein 2gether that person messed u about due to the fact that they were confused about what they wanted due to thier inability to commit at the time & in the process hurt u. Would YOU when movin on intend to never b with that person again? Due 2 the fact that they messed u about & didn't put u 1st priority? & if u had gone ur seperate ways & after time the other person HAD realised how much of a quality & asset U are & wanted U bac would you giv them another chance?or would u decline & jus b friends?

I have a feeling that this must have happened to you. It 's said that peope detatch themselves from things they regret or feel ashmed of. In this case, your instincts are already screaming for you to run away. you know the answer to your question but you just need to hear it from someone. There is a reason this guy is your ex and it better for both of you if you keep it that way. if he was not ready then there is a minimal chance that he will be different anytime in future. Do what will make you happy and that feeling you have, that feeling of mistrust and doubt will make you depressed and worrisome. Move away from the source of it. he has already caused you enough pain and you don't deserve that anymore. You only get to live once there fore make the best of it.

I wouldn't be friends or lovers again. One time around is enought. Why run it into the ground. My mama used to say, "If it don't come esy, you gotta let it go". I think that's a song, as well. You gave it shot, they were indecisive and insecure and unsure, and whatever else you like. You can make all the excuses you want, but you shouldn't have any illusions. Move on and find what you are looking for. That is what is best for both parties involved.

are you speaking on behalf of me?! I have initiated a cooling down period away my BF now due to the exact situation.
He is trying to do some soul-searching whether he wants to go on or not.
To answer your Q: It is almost impossible to change a person's fundamental, so I will choose to decline. There will always be this part that stay with them so the same problems will pop again eventually. Its like once bitten 2x shy!

To long i couldnt finish bt i have yo anwers & my 10 points.
Going bac to yo ex only & only depends on how u broke up & how much u were hurt plus how much in love u r with yo current boy/gal
If it was due to misunderstanding,a high possibity is that u r likly to get bac after u both find out u just misunderstood each other but if it was intentionally, then the whole thing sucks.
ok my 10points.

i would not give it another go i always believe that ex's are ex's for a reason an its better kept that way! it is very hard to go bak once they have already messed you around and you would be worried that he will jus do the same to you again! if this chap had real strong feelings for you and wanted to be wit you he would not hav messed you around in the first place!
there's loads more men out there for you.

After living 5 years of the relationship you just mentioned and always taking him back I have a few words of wisdom. You can keep your ten points... I give this two you free of charge and hope you listen.

Coz staying cost me everything in so many ways.

Take him back once shame on him, take him back twice shame on you... let it go on for five years...

Dye your hair blonde and name yourself Kat.

It has been 4 months since I finally woke up to myself.

Decline Decline Decline...

Well all those words mean to me is IMMATURITY and mismatch---it wasn't happening---so you grow up, get some social grace, try another light date--have fun and don't worry about the past--see if you two can start over---hey, grow up and show some maturity---don't make some silly mistakes--and don't talk the past---think of the future---show her you are growing up---if it doesn't work---too bad---you tried---but be a man and stop whining and skip the drama and pity routine----God it sounds awful. Move on if it fails to get better. Good luck

An ex is usually an ex for a reason. Unless you want a second helping of exactly the same thing you had the first time around, move on and keep moving.

That's exactly the situation I'm in right now. The girl I dated my senior year in high school broke up with me because she wasn't ready for the type of commitment I was. She was the first and only woman in my life that I could see having a future with.

Unfortunately she ended up getting married to the next guy she dated and we lost touch with each other for 10 years. When we finally got back in touch we realized that our love for each other was stronger than ever and she wasn't happy with her husband. Her husband never treated her as well as I did and she realized her mistake in letting me go.

Losing her back then hurt deeply because I knew then that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I still feel that way today.

I'm willing to give her another chance simply because I love her as much as I do and I know she truly regrets having ever let me go. I know she wouldn't make the same mistake again. Part of truly loving someone is to be able to forgive them even if they've hurt you. There's nothing wrong with giving them another chance if you know they truly feel remorse for the pain they've caused you and are willing to make up for it. We're all only human and we make mistakes. No one is perfect.

What it really comes down to is whether or not you can trust the person with your heart again. Trust is important to the success of any relationship and in order to give someone another chance you have to be able to trust them.

The only way I wouldn't give someone another chance is if they repeatedly made the same mistakes because that just means they're taking advantage of your feelings for them. A person like that knows that you're likely to forgive them no matter how many times they screw up and therefore realize they don't really have to change... all they have to do is apologize and grovel. A person like that just isn't worthy of your love for them.
