I recently bought this film. Jesus and the Israelites (and some Romans) are speaking in Aramaic. While being tortured with the scourge, Jesus is seen remembering washing Cephas' (Peter) feet. He says in Aramaic that "Ahmad" will be sent by the Father and that he shall reveal the truth of "Allah".

Both "Ahmad" (another name of Prophet Muhmmad) and "Allah" were spoken in Aramaic. The English translation for "Ahmad" was "The Comforter" while "Allah" was translated to "God"!

The Koran mentioned Jesus' preaching of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by the name "Ahmad". This name is mentioned in Gospel of John according to Aramaic language.

If you do not trust me, please watch the film again; especially the part that I've mentioned. Even repeat it twenty times, and you'll find what I'm saying to be correct.

It appears -after all- that Mel Gibson's attempt to Christianize many Muslims may backfire when many Christians would embrace Islam via a film directed by Gibson!!! Glory be to Allah!

See The Christian Scriptures.
The Jews were expecting a prophet like Moses before the advent of Jesus. When John the Baptist appeared they asked him : "Art thou Elias ? And he said I am not. Art thou that prophet ? And he answered. No."(Math. 3 : 11)
St. John further tells us that the Jews further questioned John the Baptist :
"Why baptiseth thou then, if thou be not the Christ nor Elias neither that prophet."(John 1 :25),
"And he answered : I indeed baptise you with water unto repentance but he that cometh after me is mightier than I whose shoes I am not worthy to bear : he will baptise you with the Holy Ghost and with fire."(Math 3 : 11)
The Christians apply this prophecy to Jesus, but there is no record in the Bible that he baptised his disciples with the Holy Ghost and with fire, and his church does not make use of fire when initiating people in its fold. Therefore the allusion cannot refer to the son of Mary who was his (John's) own cousin and contemporary and who, according to Bible records, received baptism at the hands of John himself.
This baptism with fire and the Holy Ghost is implied in the following verse of the Quran :•
"(Receive) the baptism of Allah and who is better than Allah in baptising and Him do we serve." (2 : 138) Baptism or the colour of God is Islam which means complete surrender of our will to the Will of God. To bring complete death on our passions and desires is the baptism with fire. If we succeed in doing so, we are in the position to imbue ourselves with Divine attributes, this being baptism with the Hoty Ghost.**
After John the Baptist Jesus confirmed their belief by announcing the future advent of "That Prophet" whom he called according to the Greek translation "Paraclete". He said :
1. "And I will pray the Father and He shall give you another Paraclete that he may be with you for ever." (John 14 : 16)
2. "But the" Comforter which is the holy spirit whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance what ever I have said unto you."(John 14 : 26)
3. "Nevertheless, I tell you the truth ; it is expedient for you that I go away ; if I go not away the Paraclete will not come to you...and when he is come, he will reprove under John the Baptist, the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgement." (John16 : 7-8)
4. "I have yet many things to say, but you cannot bear them now. Howbeit, when he the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatever he shall bear, that shall he speak, and he will show you the things to come. He shall glorify me." (John 16 :12-14).
In no.1 above, the Greek word Paraclete is translated as "Comforter", in no.2 Wastenfalls, a commentator of the Bible, explains that the word used by Jesus was Mauhamana (Aramaic) and in Hebrew it was Mauhammanna, both meaning "the praised.'' In the sister language Arabic the word would be Muhammad or Ahmed which are derived from the same root "Hamd" which means praising.
In the Gospel of Barnabas which was accepted and read upto the Gelasian Decree, a detail reference to which can be seen in the book "Tenets of Islam" wherein under the heading "The Story of the Bible" is recorded a saying of Jesus thus :—
"Verily I say unto you that the Messenger of God is a splendour that shall give gladness to nearly all that God has made. O Muhammad ! God be with thee and may He make me worthy to untie thy shoe latchets ; for obtaining this I shall be a great prophet and holy one of God." (Barnabas 163 : 180)
In another place in the same Gospel it is recorded : "The disciples asked : O Master ! Who shall that man be of whom thou speaketh, who shall come into the world ?
Jesus answered : He is Muhammad, the Messenger of God." (the translation is by Laura Regg)
The presence of the name Muhammad is really explained by the Aramaic equivalent Mauhamana or the Greek word Paraclete which John's translator used in his Gospel. Jesus had thus foretold in unambiguous terms the future advent of the Paraclete, i.e. Mauhamana or Muhammad, the Messenger of God.
Was the Holy Prophet Muhammad the Paraclete foretold by Jesus ?

Still trying to make mohammad into something he's not I see.
Jesus Christ never mentions mohammad and mohammad is certainly not the Comforter in the Bible. Do you honestly think Jesus would say, oh by the way my word and my sacrifice isn't good enough so I'll be sending a guy named mohammad to discount all my teachings and tell everybody that I'm not the Son of God?! Think again!!!

Okay, so does the qur'an.
muhammad also said the messiah or al-mahdi will return in the judgement day and this al-mahdi is referred to Jesus or Isa in the qur'an. this is a prove that muhammad also admit Jesus as the messiah.
read Qur'an 4:159, and you will know I'm saying the truth

Now let me get this straight. You're saying that Mel Gibsons movie 'The Passion of Christ' was prophecizing the coming of Mohammad? You need to tell that to Mel Gibson. I'd bet he would get a real laugh out of that.
John Chapter 14 verses 16 and 17 are the
verses quoted most frequently by Muslims to prove your point. So let us discuss them. Let me
clarify first for you, Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit in Christianity is not the Archangel
Gabriel as Muslims use the term. The Holy Spirit of God is the spirit of God. He is God
himself.
So let us understand the verses. “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another
comforter to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him,
because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will
be in you.”
In the second part of verse 16 you see the statement: “to be with you forever.” This
speaks of the eternal Spirit of God. The world cannot see him because the Holy Spirit is
invisible. The Spirit of God is in us. As you see, these descriptions could not fit or match the
claim that Muslims make about this passage. The world "saw" Mohammad and Mohammad was not "in us".
In John 14 verses 25-26(the same chapter and the same dialog), you find Jesus saying that the Holy Spirit will testify for him
and no one else. “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Comforter, the Holy
Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you
of everything I have said to you.” And in John 15 verse 26 we read: “When the Comforter
comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the
Father, he will testify about me.” The Holy Spirit goes out of the Father. This is not created.
The Holy Spirit is not created but he is the Spirit of God.
"Ahmad" may mean comforter in aramaic but the comforter is not Mohammad. "Allah" may mean God in aramaic. Jesus may have even used the term "allah" if, indeed, He actually spoke aramaic(and there's debate about that) but He wasn't talking about the "Allah" of the islamic religion. Islam started 600 years later. If you talk to arabic christians today they will use the word "Allah" for God and it's even in their arabic bible. That's because that's the word for God in arabic. But if you actually talk to a true arabic christian, he will be sure to make a distinction between the Islamic "Allah" and the christian God that he believes in. They are not the same.

I personally like how the Imams have a teaching every week that is so off the wall as to be ridiculous. Muslims are all comanded to believe the validity of the scripture, and yet they all say the Bible is corrupt, THEN they quote the scripture to justify Mohammed. Sounds hypocritical actually.
Mel Gibson is trying to convert Muslims...HARDY HAR HAR.
Whats next, Jesus Christ Superstar mentions Mohammed?

You are right. Though i have not watched the film but i have read many verses from the Gospels (Barnabas) that prove without doubt that Jesus Christ was one of the mightiest messengers of GOD and infact was 100% human.

All prophets including Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him) informed their people about the Prophecy of the Last and Final messenger of GOD who will also be the Mercy to all mankind (Muhammed PBUH)

Gibson is Hollywood hoopla.
His movie is Hollywood Hoopla.
My Bible is about the truth... Jesus Christ.
Allah is NOT God.

**EDIT**
Muhammed was a pedophile.
The Holy Spirit is my Comforter.
I did not watch Mel's movie, but I've read (and continue to reread) my Bible, and Jesus Christ is my best friend... and Savior.

We Christians believe "the comforter" is the Holy Spirit, not Muhammad.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but if you knew anything about the bible, you would realise that Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit (the comforter who came after he ascended into glory) and not Muhammed!
