we find people using and answring phones every where and anywhere /anytime though it is not an emergency.
the calls/ the ring tones/the talk etc all these at times cause a lot of inconvenience/disturbance to others though unintentionally?
shouldn't there be a regulation for 'no (mobile )phone zones ' similar to no parking zones?

YES!!!!! I can't tell you how tired I am of hearing people and their stupid conversations all over the place. In resturants...In the movies...At work...Walking down a street...In the gym...It never ends and most of the time no one is talking about anything important just rambling on because they love the sound of their own voice. PUT THE CELL PHONE DOWN AND SLOWLY MOVE AWAY!!!!!!

Phones should have their ringer off in movies (and people shouldn't talk with each other and chew popcorn so damned loudly), and casual calls should not be taken during meetings, but walking down the street or in the lift--what's the problem? I don't find it any different than people conversing. Yes, people look wack walking around appearing to talk with themselves, but so what.
We've got too many regulations already.
Frankly I find perfume and fragrances used by both men and women to be far more offensive than cell phones. Get in a small area like a lift and its enough to make one barf or seize up with asthma. I'd rather smell a cigar than some of the cheap crap people douse themselves with.

You might be surprised about how many people use their cell phones in the hospital, in patient care areas. In the halls, in the patient lounges, in the patient dining room, even in patient rooms, when other visitors, nurses, and doctors are present.
The constant noise is not helping someone to get well! A patient can't sleep, watch TV, or have a conversation with their family without being interrupted. Never mind the noise for the health care workers who are trying to save lives!
I'm with you, a no [mobile] phone area in a hospital would be great!

Yes there should, in hospitals, public confined spaces e.g a bus, waiting rooms and while driving. But we can not hope for this anytime soon because the mobile phone is now simply an extension of the arm. Alas for teenagers who's brains are melting from the radioactivity coming off their mobile phones.

I am of the opinion there need not be a regulation for such a no-mobile zone but people should keep their mobiles on vibrator mode. In this manner, the individuals can use their mobiles as per their convenience without causing inconvenience to others. For example, if someone's mobile vibrates in some places like hospital, public transport, restaurants, offices etc., one can go to a corner and continue the conversation. In this era, mobile are in and its utility cannot be denied.

Nonsence. Why waste a good resource. Even as I type this Black Ops are recording what is said, to whom, denoting from
chip dedicated for GPS purposes where the cellular locations are
so stealthy photographic records can begin, laying out the ground
hugging route of submarine discharged tactical missiles. When the other end suddendly goes 'dead' then that is when one should
look around and worry. Mind you, its too late to run.

i don't think there should be mobile phones at all.....so there you go...i mean really.....what on earth did y'all do before cell phones?
you can't go anywhere anymore without seeing someone yapping on the blasted cell phone while they are trying to do something else.......like driving!
yes, there should be no-go zones. hospitals, theaters, restaurants, shops, public transit, doctor's offices.
sorry i just think they should only be used for emergencies......real emergencies!

No. It is not the governments job to determine where people can and cannot use their cell phones. Only in extreme cases where the signals can mess up other stuff like in hospitals or airplanes is this acceptable. Otherwise people need to remember their manners and be respectful of others around them which is why it is RUDE to use a phone at the dinner table, in line at the store, or any other place where it is a nuisance to others.

It is difficult doing that way. Best way is to have
'mobile intercepting machines' installed
in some areas.
