Baking soda and Apple Cider Vinegar are excellent ingredients for cleaning , I'm sure you can find more on the web or some real neat books with lots of info.
You can polish copper with a mixture of lime juice and salt , works great.

I can't believe no one has mentioned good old Tomato Ketchup!
It is a miracle cleaner... if you need to get any metal surfaces clean just try some. You know the annoying "Cilit Bang" coin test, well just try it in some Ketchup and you'll see what I mean!

Lemon is great for the smell run it over your chopping boards sinks etc. Vinegar works well to clean if you soak your showerhead in it, it will get rid of any mildew.. Bicarbonate soda to clean your loo etc.

Bicarbonate of soda, I use this a lot for cleaning, getting rid of stains and odours in the kitchen.
Vinegar.
I've heard tomato ketchup is good for cleaning but I've never used that one.

vinegar, bicarb of soda, salt (a mild cleaning abrasive) tomato ketchup (great for cleaning brass) coffee to help removes stains from wood
