Well, I major in chemistry but I love fashion and design, I often use Illustrator to draw pics. I'm wondering do people who study science use Macs? Personally I would prefer Mac cuz it is friendly and simple.

Science tends to use both - it depends on what applications you need to use and what your "boss" (lead scientist) wants to use. It would probably pay to familiarize yourself with Windows and Linux.

New Macs with the new Intel processors can run both Mac and PC software so you have the best of both worlds if you have a new Mac.

Go PC its more and easier than a Mac, Go for something like HP

Go with what you feel most comfertable with because both systems have their pros and their cons.
