I don't think so. I feel religion evolved as we did and was, at the same time, manipulated and corrupted to cater the needs of the few. I've never really studied religion but from my observations, all religions have the same basis. It is the practice of it that makes it different. The practice of religion however is a result of traditions and not basic social law taught in the holy texts. Thats why there are branches of different beliefs even within a single religion. Why? To ensure the characteristics of traditional belief system is not lost. Fear of Change!!! We are all the same, made of the same compositions with unique tweaks in our DNA to make us individuals but if comprehend carefully, we're just organisms trying to survive within the same environment. Only difference is, we can manipulate our mind and make choices. Unfortunately, our minds are not used to its full potential. I say religion is basic, the intrepetation evolves and should not be bound by man made laws of tradition.

Well, We have to respect all people and their religions but there is a way to know if there is a right religion. Ask God to guide you to the right one. Ask the help of the Holy Spirit to show you the way. Pray to God to give you light. Research on the history of the religions you think have the truth. Try out their practices. If God answers your prayers, maybe you found the true religion. In my research I think I agree, the Catholic faith or the Christian Faith is the true religion because God has answered many of my prayers. Mary has been more than a mother to me. All my questions in life have been answered. It makes 100% sense to me. The Pope has been responsible for many good things for mankind and is admired by nonCatholics and non believers. The Church has been around for 2000 years and we can trace back our roots to Abraham and even our first parents so I think it is the right religion.

Very nice indeed, after a long time hear good thing without prejudice and degrading anyone.

It is quite nice too that you are not the student of comparitive studies of religion, but through your keen observation may be, your remarks are comprehensive and up to the mark.

Every body has its opinion, as this is mine, just think an opinion from my side, not representing anyone, and yes you can say it is not free from bias, which i may regret in advance.

From the very thorough logical point of views (cannot discuss because of its length), of different thinkers world wide, the right religion is Islam, by all means. But what Islam really means is understandable when you study its code of life from your own observation. It is a kind of deduction of negativity till death, but the normal perception of Islam is now a days is look like rigidity, no doubt in it, but it does'nt mean they represent Islam.

For example its other names and meanings are, Submission to God, Truth, Nature. The key and unique concept which only muslims do have is Believing One & Only God.

But practically, if you are not Human, you are not Muslim (Truthful), all the story is surrounded with truth, once you find it you may find the true religion.

The one of the proof which I was un-able to break and it leads me no where to accept Islam as base, is the challenge in the scripture, Quran, that if you think that it is not sent by God then make a sentence like that, and you will never do so, then be prepare for the severe toment.

I have not seen such challenge in any of the past scriptures, although they are corrupted but strangely Quran's original text in Arabic is still in its real shape, without any alteration and this is also authorised by the most of honorable minds of different religions, who know how to research. But why they have not accepted after accepting this or not present a replicate sentence to disprove Quran's challenge, is another case scenerio.

I am converted no doubt, but i would say be sure what you say, because there is one more knowledgable then you.

Religion is nature, and if there is nature there will be a religion. And that is inside.

There is only one right religion, and only that religion contains all of God's truth, and all of God's provision for the good of mankind.

Everything else, by comparison, is mere futility.

Tradition is simply the way those universal truths are understood, expressed, and practiced, so tradition can vary somewhat, and it should have no real effect on the underlying principles.

But this is all hypothetical.

Human beings are too complex and too messed up to agree on only one religion, so each of us eventually has to make a choice. And when it comes to religion, NOT making a choice also turns out to be a choice.

As "Dirty Harry" would say, "Do ya feel lucky? Well, do ya?"

It is normal to seek religion in search for the truth. But the truth cannot and will not be found in any religion. Jesus proclaim the following words in the scripture " I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE, no man can come to the FATHER except by ME."

Religions are mans creations, The truth is mixed with a lies and lies with a truth, this is Satan strategy, Satan knows for sure that his end will come without hindrances, so he has to make some lies to look like reality. Rekligion is not the door to the kingdom of God, It is the Church and Jesus is the head of that church which every human being must pass. - in John 10:9 Jesus said: I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Did Jesus says enter a religon and be saved? No isn't it! In order to comprehend God, we must comprehend who knows God more than we, Jesus is the exact manifestation of God righteousness, the full and final revelaiton of God to mankind.

I do not disregard religion, for in it the knowledge of God is manifested, but not in the true sense of what he really is. Some facts about him is distorted in religion, only in Jesus you can find the true meaning of righteousness and holiness, not in outside appearance but deep inside you a changed person, a born again sons and daugthers of God, not made by flesh but by the spirit of God.

Different religions are contradictory. Which means that only one can be right. Generally they pertain matters and life and death, thus making the whole issue important. There may not be a right religion for you, but there is a true religion. For example, I am not Islam, and that matters because only one religion can be right in the end, I can not be Islam as well as Christian so it is probably be better to be on the right side.

Try this as a parallel concept. Bill believes in chemistry and Joe believes in alchemy. Now the scientific method does a great job in differentiating the two. What if Joe does not believe in the scientific method? Can he have his own "personal reality"?

My position is that the supernatural is more complex than either chemistry or alchemy. Although we can not use the scientific method to learn about the supernatural, there are no "personal truths".

Religions are kind of run like small businesses now. That's why I don't go to church. But that doesn't mean God isn't real and calling you. The best religions are Pentacostal and Baptists. They both preach the truth, that you need to repent of your sins and come to Jesus. That He is the only way to God. There are 2 pretty good tv evangilsts I heard, Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyers. Maybe you could tune them in. God bless.

My friend, I like people who dare to pose such a questions because it shows that they are thoughtful and support innovation
I believe that religion is nothing just some instructions about what to do and what not to do. the great God has given mankind the ability to think and to choose, so we need no one to follow in our life because religion is something about past and whatever has been told referred to some special happening in its own time not now. but i believe that mankind should have faith and belief on something otherwise life would be very dangerous because mankind is the most dangerous animal in the world.

i don't belong or cling to any religion although i have a strong relationship with GOD. i don't believe that religion is as important as having a relationship with GOD. for me religions are man made organizations that aim to gather people of the same persuasion, share rituals and beliefs in and nothing more. so for the question, is there a right religion. NO there isn't. it is a matter of choice. fore xample i cannot say that people who chose Islam are stupid or those who go for Buddhism are lazy, just as i will not allow them to say Chrisitanity is b*#$!&it.

To believe in the God and being in favour of goodness, so what does create the difference between people? Praying much more in Friday as a Muslim? or in Saturday as a Jewish? or in Sunday as a Cristian? Or never? I think we are all the same.
