Do women view me as a geek, because I wear glasses? Why won't anyone go out with me? I am very nice, I have a great sense of humor, I am a gentleman, caring, loving. I'm a Christian. I am 26 & never been on a date. I grew up in a Christian home & in church. I feel like a failure, after Valentine's Day, which I never have someone. I have waited & waited still have no one. I'm not desperate. I am like giving up. It's no use. I'll just wait.

I think that you are too impatient and instaed you should be patient because a lack of patience may result in a broken heart and i`m sure you don`t want to end up in this situation.....

I didnot celebrate valentine but i have faith and i`m waiting for my charming prince.....

Believe and be patient.....these make a key to open the door for your special someone dear....

And you should not underestimate yourself, firstly you should accept yourself as you are dear for others to accept you.....

I`m sure that you`ll find your princess who will love you, treasure you, understand you and complement you.....but you have to believe.....

Sweetheart, you sound so lovely.

I am sorry you havent been lucky in love up till now, but I really hope it will happen for you (I actually did a little prayer for you then!)

I found it really hard getting a first date and then one day it just sort of happened for me and I am sure it will for you too!.

Can I also say that glasses shouldnt be a problem, in fact I have always loved men in glasses and I am not saying that just to make you feel better..you should take somthing that you may feel is a negative and turn it into a positive, go out and buy a pair that really suit you and make you look a million dollars, it will give you renewed confidence, and this is the key to it.

Truth is the world is filled with great people and not so great people, the problem is its not just the great people who have dates, its just that some people are more naturally confident and outgoing and socially aware than others. You may be a diamond in the rough, but unless you show yourself off to people they wont see you im afraid.

Women like confident people (although some guys are arrogant - this is not the same thing). They want someone who is comfortable in their own skin, somebody who isnt afraid to talk to them. You say that you have a great sense of humour then use that quality. I can also tell by the way you type that you are intellegent too...I am actually guessing that if you did get a date the other girls whould be kicking themselves for not snapping you up sooner.

Do you ever go to bars, or do sports, or go to classes after work. All these places are great for meeting new people and as you get to know them as friends they will realise what a sweetheart you are.

Please post more questions with more information. I would really like to try and help you out.

Dont let anybody on here try to put you off!!

If you wanted to give up you wouldn't have written this question. I believe there are sites for Christians meeting Christians. Try one. Glasses don't make a guy a geek. Johnny Depp wears them and no one would call him a geek. Try not to take yourself too seriously. Laughter is a great ice breaker. Oh, and hitting the gym 3 times a week won't hurt. Taking care of yourself shows self respect. Oh, I wouldn't whine to the woman you ask out about never dating. You might as well put a scarlet L on your forehead.

You might get someone , maybe a girl who is a friend to help you with a MANS MAKEOVER ( be sure it is not a nerdy girl ) Not to say that there is anything wrong with the way you look now but if you want to be noticed a change will do the trick. Have you ever heard the term DRESS FOR SUCCESS, that also applies in your personal life . If you change the way you look it will in return change the way you conduct yourself . You can be a Rough Boy and still be a Christian too. Also don't beat yourself up over Valentines Day , it has been blown way out of proportion . It is only meant for people who do have someone in their life to express what they mean to each other , now you have to get cards and gifts for parents ,kids , relatives and so on and that is not what Valentines Day is all about. And don't go METRO that's borderline Gay!!!

The glasses thing does, secretly bother some people. The short-sighted perception as if movement outside what your looking at is supposed to be out of focus. Make sure you communicate. Talking "dirty" helps more than it hurts. No one likes witty banter or smooth jokes much and if they do, they'll just memorize the subject matter for their own talks with other people. Make your intents and desires clear, and treat "meeting and greeting" as a quick consequence. Move on if you predict an unresponsive person to date. Next time you see someone, and your heart about leaps from your body, stand in her way and speak your mind. If she says nothing, the usual, wait 2 days minimum until the next try.

I disagree with the first two the answers I have read thus far.

My advise is that you are prolly alone because

a) you a putting pressure / expectations on yourself by feeling like a failure...

and

Mainly B) your looking in the wrong place to find your soul mate.

I have many christian friends who met the loves of there life thru activites at their local church such as youth groups and social activities / hiking.

Looks aren't everything... I personally always prefered Clark Kent to Superman!

And I'm sure there are many people who would find you adorable just the way you are...

But the main thing is you never find anyone unless you find yourself first... find what you enjoy... then she will find you champ!

Much luck to ya.
xoxo

Don't give up, the right girl will come along, you just have to be patient, have you or are on a couple different on-line dating services, you can meet people in church, on yahoo chat rooms, I heard they are good at finding dates, I personally have not tried it out yet, but I will, I know how you feel and if you don't be careful it can put into depression, and we can not have that, so try the chat rooms, it just might lead you to your soul mate.
Wish you all the Best and Good Luck

this question requires more of getting to know you before helping you out. i don't know what method to approach since i don't know you, although you said all the good things about you, (butwhat about the bad? maybe the problem is in there). focus on what youthinkis wrong withyou, ask some friends, know yourself better and you should know how to approach women. you know, maybe they see you as threat, or as maniac, or self-obsessed or etc., my point is, something is definitely wrong with you, and believe me, it's not the glasses!
