In the last couple of weeks, I've had three exes (all from more than six months ago) contact me for really strange reasons. The one that cheated on me (we haven't really talked to each other for almost a year) sent me a message saying how sorry he was. The other two called or sent me messages just to say hi or talk. It's really weird because I almost never talk to two of them and the third lives with his girlfriend who I work with and am sort of friends with. What's with these guys?

It's a common thing to think about your exes. They obviously care about you... just be careful not to show too much interest, or to let them think that you're still hung up on any of them...because most likely it will satisfy their ego and send the right back to jerk status.

Beats me. I agree with the above people though, in that it may be motivated by the sudden loneliness of the Valentine's Day season, causing them to feel nostalgic and give you a call. However, as others also wrote, they may just be trying to get back into your pants. I'd evaluate their sincerity very warily, especially the guy who cheated on you. If he is truly sorry, that would turn out to be a very nice gesture though, I'd say.

They still want to be friends but they usually try to get under your pants again... Rare are those that who really want to be just friends...
