Yes, a nurse can work in the military! You might have to acquire citizenship papers and have proof you are a nurse but the U.S. military will take anyone they can get that is willing and half decently healthy! There are nurses in Iraq right now who had to be trained by the military so a nurse with prior experience will be an asset and might even get better pay if you have proper citizenship papers. Military bases all over the world that the U.S. owns always need nurses. You might be able to even stay in the U.S. if you are a highly experienced nurse. There are a lot of options for a nurse in the military! It just depends on if you are willing and able.

I think that a nurse can work any where they are needed. And right now the military need the nurse the most. But you should do it because you want to do it, not because someone else want you to.

If you are a natural born citizen you can join the military and nurses are actually officers.
If you just want to work for the government/military as a nurse, it's really easy... just apply. They accept civilians all the time.

Of course you can. The military will find a place for you. The question is, "Do you want to go?"
