With an oval face you can wear any style and have it look good. With your hair being waist long, many times from about mid back down it gets thinner looking and a naturally layered look appears. It may be wrong to layer your hair to get a new look since in the end you could be forced to cut your lengths for a thicker appearance.
I suggest to put your hair in a high pony tail and spray with a styling aid, then separate your lengths into 5 to 8 sections and curl. Clip the curls when still hot in the circular shapes to your head so they can cool in optimum form. Re-spray, allow about 3 mins to dry any remaining product, unclip curls from head and release pony tail. Section top of scalp in 3-5 sections and curl in the same way, clipping in place to cool. Release sections and pull fingers through the length of your hair and spray with hair spray to finish the look. This method is surprisingly fast and easy to do along with being long lasting. This gives you a new look to play with without removing your hair length.

You can get long layers. I have long hair and i don't like the length being taken off so if i have long layers the length is the same and each layer is just a little shorter the the other. I usually style with hot rollers because the curl stays better in longer hair with hot rollers.. i just use to sets instead of one because my hair is thick as well.

you haven't mentioned your hair type. If you have thick hair, I'd say, go for layers. Trust me, it looks great on long hair. It works for any occasion, be it a wedding or a day out with your friends. Just style it according to the occasion

properly, whilst they ask what you need you tell them quickly up. "i'd like the comparable type I truthfully have now, basically an inch or 2 cut back from the backside so as that that's a sprint shorter." They wouldn't have the skill to misread that.

Your face sounds rather clever to me and I would suggest that you look at the hair worn by the celebrated reclusive American writer and poet, Linda J Cirillo and see how smart her hair is.
