Hi there Nadine,
1. 'More haste less speed.' Take the time to do things properly rather than rush them.
2. 'Do not count your chickens before they are hatched.' Get your facts right first.
3. 'Closing the door after the horse has bolted.' Prevention is better than a cure.
4. 'Pot calling the kettle black.' Telling someone off for doing something wrong when you do the same yourself.
5. 'Practice what you preach.' Make sure that what you tell others to do what you would be prepared to do it as well.
Hope this helps. :o)

1. "Those at the other end of the club see history differently." - Noam Chomsky
(What I think he is referring to is that in America...we (the masses) generally seem to think that everything our government does is right and fine (in America's best interest)..but those countries or people who are exploited or taken advantage of...have a completely different point of view of the same event.
(it doesn't only apply to America...it applies to the stronger vs. the weaker in a general sense.)

2. "When I give bread to the poor they call me a saint, when I ask why the poor have no bread they call me a communist." -? (Trotsky?)

What I think this means is that the "powers that be" in higher government/ positions of power will get involved to shut a person down...by discrediting them or slandering them....rather than be held accountable to use their power correctly. They aren't riled up if a person makes a small difference, but if a person threatens to change the fundamental nature/ functions of those in power...they react...and not in a kind way.

Meaning: Nothing is guaranteed in life, except these two certainties. Things and people change, so don't be disappointed.

QUOTE #2:
"NEVER LEAVE THAT TILL TOMORROW
WHICH YOU CAN DO TODAY."
Meaning: Don't procrastinate. Tomorrow may never come. Besides, if you can do it today, you are ahead of the game. Plus, you can get other things accomplished tomorrow.

It is a common myth among women that having a baby makes you maternal, that is as ridiculous as giving someone a guitar and saying you are a musician!
