Why is there an American bias with the people of Israel, as opposed to the people of Palestine?

I mean, people are constantly making it appear as though the Israelis are like some sort of Jewish David figure surrounded by a brutish Arab Goliath. The fact is, if you were forced out of your home and told that somebody else would be taking your place, you would be pretty pissed off too.

Besides, look at this quote from David Ben Gurion-- It has asshole written all over it, and is just one of many:

"We must do everything to insure they ( the Palestinians) never do return." Assuring his fellow Zionists that Palestinians will never come back to their homes. "The old will die and the young will forget."

I don't think that the American bias towards the people of Israel it's about religion,it's about US interests in the Middle East...As long as there will be oil there,US is going to have economic interests there...and as the only country in there who agrees with US policies, Israel is going to be protected by America...So of course it serves US interests to make Israel look like the "poor victim" and the Arab countries as the "big bad guy" who is trying to destroy Israel...Guess after this summer many people realized that the things are not quite like that...

There is no oil in Israel. There is nothing there but dirt with a past. The reason for American siding with Israel is the number of Jewish people living in America. If America stopped supporting Israel, the next day it would be wiped off the map.

What role God played in any of this is unknown, as the artificially created state of modern day Israel bears no resemblance to the Israel of old.
