I sent my lover a text saying "Happy Valentines Day <3" and he wrote back saying "You too......" What did he mean by the six dots?

I dont think he delibaretly put there SIX dots to give you a particular message for it. Rather he left space to fill in your own imagination on what would he say to you, since you know him, and that whatever you fill in, it would be right for him; coz he loves you!

All the best!/

Yeah, the dots neither add nor detract from his also wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day. Some people are elipsis happy when they type, text, or e-mail (elipsis are the three dots you sometimes see...). <-- like there. Anyway... It doesn't mean anything. No secret code. Now, if you want them to mean something then perhaps you should explore that. What would you like them to mean? What do you fear they might mean? Perhaps this is something you need to think about and perhaps even talk about with your boyfriend. Not about whether the dots meant anything, but about your own expectations or fears.

Six dots in a text message? Probably there for a reason that takes like 4 years to type out. Ok maybe not that long but I'm exaggerating.

I'd just straight up ask him if something's wrong. If he says nothing then either we're worrying about nothing here or he's not even willing to talk about it yet.

Or you could just be REALLY direct about it and ask him flat out if they meant anything. With the limited information you've given me it *could* be that he wanted to see you today and he's sad he couldn't. (I'm assuming you guys didn't see each other because you're sending texts)

He is wishing you happy valentines day, but he is also thinking about something else. He may be unsure about the how your relationship is going, or perhaps he is (angry/jealous/etc...) with you. Things would seem rocky. However, he also may just be having a bad day or something, and for either case, I think you should call him.
