Why does my ex who I still love always work and say he is so busy working...do some guys just want to get their career and then the girlfriend?

Yes. Men work. They have the picture of the perfect life in their head too. Late twenties is the push time for getting the bucks. Most guys start makin real cash around then by proving themselves.
Maybe he's working to get back all the money he invested in you.

YESSSS. Older men youger women... got the idea.
Men knows this they want the money the power.. career stability so they can either get any women they want OR keep the on they got.
Don't worry so much. Enjoy the ride. If he loves the girl, he's working for both their future too. They;ll get wrinkly and old anyways no career = money can reverse that. LOL. then comes the regret. I know of men with lots of money successful who wished they were 25 again.
We plan for the future. We learn from the past. We exist in one phase - the present.

He's working for you, you big fat idiot! Why the hell would he go to work everyday? Because he likes working? I think not. He's going to work so he can afford the overpriced roses and the overpriced champagne and the overpriced steak dinner for Valentine's. If you weren't such a gold digger and if you didn't spend so much of his money, he wouldn't have to work as hard. Try helping him and conserving money. That's the only way you're going to get him to come home early.
