I like this girl. However, since she heard about it, she has been avoiding me ever since. I understand that I cannot expect her to like me in return, but I'd just like to be able to talk to her.

What can I do about this? I understand that "giving up" is a great solution, but is there anything else that could work? Please don't tell me she's not worth it, because she really is a very nice person.

Note: Since this happened, she does not talk to me AT ALL. I am not trying to make her like me, I SIMPLY WOULD LIKE TO BE HER FRIEND.

She's acting spooked. The best thing that you can do is to move on. Once you're in another relationship and she knows about it, then maybe she'll talk to you.

Sorry, that sounds like no fun at all.

Well, she may have her own reason for avoiding you. Once I have had this problem. But later I found out that she was very up set that she heard that I am in LOVE with her from someone else before I told her. I told my best friend and my best friend told her best friend and all freaked out. So find out why??? If she is not interested try to convince her to stay friends.

Good Luck!!

nowadays when a guy saus they just want to be friends, it actually means something else.
if she is avoiding you, you cannot do anything about it.
there must be a reason: she doesnt like you as anything, she has something to hide, or both.

either way, it gets worse if you try to be someone that she is not looking for at this time.
if she wanted to you to be anything in her life: friend, BF, whatever, she wouldnt avoid you.

take the hint, she is doing this to save you from hearing her tell it to you directly.

she probably feels a bit afraid because she thought that you two were just friends or something. Don't give up, just tell her that you're sorry if you made her afraid, and you'd rather have her friendship than lose her entirely.
