No, Catholics believe what the pope tells them to, protestants are split up into many denominations, who believe in many different things. So, no, I don't think protestants will unite in the way that you mean.

No, because we are not all the same as the Catholics. I'm afraid that eventually all churches will be swollowed up by the Catholics though, so I could see that happening in the next 50 years.
