Chocolate Covered Strawberries

INGREDIENTS
16 ounces milk chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
1 pound fresh strawberries with leaves
DIRECTIONS
Insert toothpicks into the tops of the strawberries.
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and shortening, stirring occasionally until smooth. Holding them by the toothpicks, dip the strawberries into the chocolate mixture.
Turn the strawberries upside down and insert the toothpick into styrofoam for the chocolate to cool.

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Ingredients
chocolate
strawberries
Wash the strawberries and leave the leaves on the top.
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of hot water. Once melted dip each strawberry into the chocolate and then leave on a tray to cool. Once room temperature leave in the fridge to cool.

This is how I make the chocolate covered strawberries----I take 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and melt them in a small glass bowl in the microwave on high for 30 seconds & repeat until fully melted (this prevents them from burning). Then I dip the strawberries in the chocolate and place them on wax paper in the refrigerator for about 30mins
They are absolutely devine!!

take a bag of chocolate chips and melt them in a double boiler or a steel bowl over hot boiling water. spray the pan with pam 1st then dip berries in them on a wooden skewer then dry them on wax paper. this mehtod is also good for pretzel stix you can use white chocolate too.

martini glass with champagne with chocolate dipped strwberies or vodka that is flavored and some fruit liquor that complamts strawberries.garnish for angel food cake with whipped cream double dip strawberries in dark choc the just the tips in white choc.

you can actually buy "pre made dipping chocolate" in little containers. You microwave it & there, instant melted chocolate--finish off by dipping your fruit into the chocolate
I see them everywhere, so just ask at your local grocery. Cant get any easier than that!
