should i get circumcisied?

my girlfriend desperately wants me to get circumcisied. my friends think i should dump her and do what i want. i really love her but she wont accept me as i am. what should i do?

Very personal decision! If you are a healthy, hygienic man who has no medical or emotional issues with being uncircumcised, by all means leave it alone! This is certainly not her decision. Did you ever think of getting circumcised before she said something? If you are happy with you, that is ALL that should matter! Don't let yourself be pressured into this. Search your heart. If you do decide to go through with it, be sure to see a urologist for an evaluation and get the low down on what to really expect from the procedure. Ya know, a lot of people say the penis is much more sensitive if it is uncircumcised. You may loose a lot more that a little bit of skin if you get it snipped. ;)

You will have less sensation in your penis after you get circumsized, and sex won't feel as good as it used to...when they circumsize you they remove the foreskin, that protects the delicate head of the penis...it is there for a reason---it is NOT a birth defect...
Your girl, I'm sorry to say, sounds really incredibly shallow for demanding that you change your penis for her. I have been with both a circumsized man and an uncircumsized man, and when you are "in the mood," it really doesn't seem that different looks wise because, well, I guess you would know that.
Even considering this for her makes you a nice guy...but don't do this...just by asking you to do this proves she is not the one for you.
So tell her to read up about circumcision, read the FACTS about it, and if she doesn't change her mind, if she is indeed this SELFISH, then you really need to move on.
This surgical procedure is excruciatingly painful, and then after that, when you do heal, it will be horribly uncomfortable for you for months afterward until the head of your penis gets used to being chafed all the time. Please don't do this for your sake...

Ask her if she would please remove her left breast for you? Getting circumcised is a very personal decision when you are an adult. Many men do it because of religious ceremonies. But to do it just because a girl wants you to is a little bit pushing it. How do you know you will still be with her a year from now? or even a day after you get this done? Make sure it is something you want to do. Only you should decide.

Do what you want to do. This is your body and if you do get circumcisied because she wants you to, you might regret it later and you'll have to live with it for the rest of your life. My boyfirend isn't circumcisied and I don't care at all. i say don't do it if you don't want to. Good Luck.

dude, that is so lame. a penis is a penis and if she won't accept that part of you, can you imagine her with other details about your body. besides, doctors would suggest that you only get circumsized during two times in your life: right after birth or during your adolescense while you are entering puberty... and you can only imagine how painful that must be!!!
Seriously, as a baby you feel just as much pain, but you have no memory of it, countered with now when you would remember the pain every time you get a ***** (they do NOT use anesthesias).
Think about it, is she really worth it if she WON'T accept you with a penis tip. That's pretty lame of her, but if you are willing to do something you really don't want to do (in this case it isn't really compromise since it isn't something you HAVE to do, just something she is being a B*TCH about).

Listen brother, I have to agree with your mates, dump the girl - you deserve someone who will accept you as you are, no matter what.
Circumcision is a very personal matter and one you need to get all the info you can, pros and cons, before making the decision by and for yourself!

well if she wont accept you for who you are then you need to re-think things..

there are going to be differences in relationships and the most important thing is that you feel like you have someone who accepts you for who you are.

that having been said. circumcision is a personal choice. is it something that you have wanted to do but were afraid of doing or is it something that you are against...

My husband has agreed to get circumsized for me. This skin stuff is unhealthy, it stinks even if you shower twice a day. So if you really want to enjoy intimacy it's not the best for the woman. It doesn't matter what your friends tell you. They do not live your life for you, so if you really love her and you feel that she really loves you, do it for both your sakes.
