I believe it would take too long to check over everything. Heck they may have never pulled Waltrip aside except his performance was 2mph faster then the average, so they tend to check up on the people who really well. I think NASCAR doesnt release those things because they dont want it to affect the races somehow and frankly its not that big of a deal.

When NASCAR reports the penalties for any team they will always cite the rule(s) most media outlets will report what happened that results in NASCAR slapping fines, points and suspensions.
NASCAR does 4 kinds of inspections
- Pre and Post Qualifying
- Pre and Post RACE
Last Season there were only a few race that were impound races meaning after qualifying, you could only do a couple of things but basically you did not touch the car until race day. Go to the source for the impound rules

They do a pre-race and post-race inspection, however it isn't immediately before or after. There are a few minutes where someone could tinker. With that being said, the rules are getting rediculous. Nascar should worry more about safety rather than gray areas where a crew cheif might get in trouble for an extra bolt, or hole, or something stupid like that. Get back to Old time racing. Going fast!!! Driving hard!!!

The cars are inspected before they are allowed on the track. This is to assure that the cars are safe and within NASCAR specs.
Prior to quailifing the cars are checked again at which time they can attempt a quailifing run.
After the quailifing attempt the cars are inspected again.
Then race mornig the cars roll thru the inspection area again.
When there is an infraction of the rules NASCAR releases that a rule is broken and hat the rule is.Any team owner or crew cheif or appropriate represenitive can go to the NASCAR trailer to see more detail of the violation.

Nascar does do a pre race inspection, and also a post race inspection. The thing is, some tracks are more strict then others. Nascar does release the cause of an infraction, but it usually is kept hush hush for awhile so they can catch other teams doing the same thing. But, it should be released with in a week or so. Check Nascar.com for updates on this.

Actually I saw that on the news..they claimed it was Rocket Fuel and fired a few people on the team. The driver will be able to race still.
They do have members of nascar inspecting and testing and keeping their eye open before and after races. Its the same with anything else..everyone has their eye and their hand in someones pocket.

This wouldn't be considered cheating a few years ago. Nascar is getting crazy with all the rules and checking of the cars. I liked it better when crew chiefs could try to find ways of improving the car, when drivers drove like there was no tomorrow, when a race was about racing!

Your new to Nascar? Well let me tell you from the "Old School". It never use to be like this. Racing is racing, the object is to go as fast as you can. All these nit-picky rules suck! Nascar is going down hill. No fun anymore. Restictor plates suck! What next, no bumping?
