Does GCE O and A level Chemistry require students to memorize a lot of equations? Does physics involve too many sums?
Are these subjects more difficult than the ICSE or ISC ones?

Yes, the a certain extent. There are some questions which requires you to memorise alot of information, especially in definitions and equations questions. But, now, Cambridge has decided to adopt more logic questions, whereby the students would have to think logically, instead of jotting information memorised from the textbooks.

So, basically, yes...O and A level papers have become more challenging. Not sure about them being difficult, but I guess this would be depending on each individual.
