We have a new home and the master bath has a standard shower wall kit and a separate garden tub. I'm trying to find out if there is an extension that you can add on to the shower wall kit to make the shower larger. Moving the door out and adding on to the shower? Or, are the shower wall kits a standard size or can I get one that is deeper but not wider? Any suggestions? Thanks

Without knowing what brand and type of shower wall "kit" you have at the present time, room layout, dimensions, and expansion room available; it is impossible to give you any kind of definitive answer. Best advice is to carefully measure the dimensions of the area and the present shower, take several photos of the area, and head down to your local Lowe's or Home Depot. Look for the oldest guy in the plumbing department and ask for his advice. Your chances are probably 50-50 that you will get any kind of useful information, but it is worth a try. Next stop should be to a plumbing supply business where the help is usually a lot more knowledgable and experienced. In the end, your best bet might be to solicit free estimates from a couple of reputable local remodeling contractors who specialize in bathroom remodeling.

Good luck with your bathroom project.

You will have to check out Home Depot and Lowes. I know tub kit and shower kits come in 2 widths and 2 heights. They sell one extender (that I can remember). I really don't know about the shower only kits. Good luck.
