do they lighten zit marks? and they dont cause acne right???

Yes, they will help to fade acne marks in time.

Be careful of what kind you are using, and how often. Using any kind of scrub too often can lead to even more acne.

Depending on the method of exfoliation, they can lighten the marks, particularly if it is a chemical exfoliant such as alpha-hydroxy acid, retinol, or vitamin c. They can cause acne if they are irritating to the skin, which can overstimulate the oil glands trying to defend against the irritation. Scrubs are mechanical exfoliants that remove dead cells with particles, they generally aren't as strong as the chemicals but care must be taken that they don't make small tears in the skin during use. Either method can eventually fade the marks, but it takes time.
