Yah, the problem is that you shouldn't drink it chilled. It takes away from the flavor. Try drinking it on occasion at room tremperature, wilth a coke back if necessary, and soon you'll notice and begin to appreciate the difference. As for the bottle, it will be fine in the freezer, but I believe you're better than that. WWJDD? What would Jack Daniels Do?

Are you talking about the drink or a person you know? It makes a difference!

The drink will expand by an extra 10% if it turns to ice. However, I don't know if the freezing point of alcohol is below 0 degrees fahrenheit, which is the average temp of a freezer.

Alcohol should always be stored in a cool place. Reactions between residual amides and the alcohol under increasing temperature result in ethyl carbamate production, a potent carcinogen. You can never be certain regarding the storage during fermentation, transportation, storage, and finally before use, so do all that you can to keep ethyl carbamate to a minimum.
