They both can be boiled down to this: World War 1 - Prussia becoming Germany and Britains response to their wanting to become a powerful nation. World War 2 - Germany's hurt pride from WW1 pushes their people for 40 years to view themselves as the disenfranchised kings of the world - and voilah. World War 2.

WW1-First reason
Milltariism(making more wepons then the other country.-England had created a huge ship which was called the komaguta maru, germany began getting jelous and decided to make ships of its own, starting a naval arms race

Second Reason
Alliances(treaties)-Most people dont know this but ww1 was all started by the austrians serbs because of the assanation of the austrain arch duke franz Ferdland, so as asutria declared war on serbia, austria ally- germany came along with germanys ally Italy.
Serbs ally- Russia and france, along with the britsh empire since france and england were and alliance.

Third Reason
Imperislism(Colonies)-Germany wanted 2 build empires of her own but all the good land was taken my the britsh so germany wanted 2 attack England

Fourth Reason
Nationalism(being proud of ur nation)- Serbia was part of the austrian empire and wanted freedom for it because they were proud of their own country.

Nice answers for WWI Ramin. But a little lacking in causes for WWII.

The treaty that ended WWI, the treaty of Versailles, was a somewhat hash in its treatment of the countries on the losing side of WWI, in terms of war reparations and military arms limitations. It's not small coincidence that the axis powers of WWII are the same major players on the losing side of WWII.

Hitler who was a soldier in WWI, was severely injured during the conflict, This could have motivated him upon his ascension to power to seek revenge on the former ally powers.

The league of Nations, formed after WWI. Chose to turn its back on the precipitating events of WWII, like the invasion of Poland, Austria, and others in hopes that these conquests would appease Germany.

The imposition of strict naval tonnage limits and ratios in the Versailles trady, didn't sit to well especially in Japan which as an island nation really needs a navy to protect it's territory.

The US stopping all shipment of raw materials, especially oil, to Japan, in response to it's invasion of Manchuria forced Japan to consider striking out against the US and invading other nearby island nations on a search for raw materials it is lacking.

the first world war was more of a world battle. it really didnt last long and only included 4-5 people.

the second world war started after a dispute about the size and length of the first world war. the north pole won.

and its safe to assume that world war three will be fought almost exclusively with jet packs.

Idiots doing the fighting for their so called leaders. We should send their azzes out with a gun and take bets. Then when it's done 1 or 2 minutes go back to being neighbors. Oh yeah in a war where the leaders fight...nobody survives. We make sure of that. Hey rules are rules.
