Gee, where to begin? Well, let's start with my daughter and the Christians who told her (at 5 years old) that she was a bad, evil person who could never be good or worthwhile without accepting god. That sounds nice doesn't it? These same people also told her in detail about all the tortures jesus supposedly went through and gave her nightmares for weeks. After hearing about easter she also came to believe that people who love her are going to kill themselves to save her because she is so bad and wanted to run away so I wouldn't kill myself to save her. Her grandmother (my mother) begged me to let her go to church and against my better judgment I let her. This was what I got for not following my conscience. Fortunately, things started getting better as soon as I stopped letting her go to my mother's baptist church.
Then let's go on to what christians are doing in government. They are constantly working to force non-christians to follow their beliefs, like it or not. To me that is wrong. I should be able to live my life in peace as I see fit as long as I am not hurting anyone and these people don't want to let me.
Then there's the fact that religion hurts people. Many, many religious people are extremely intolerant and hurt people emotionally and physically for not sharing their beliefs.
Is that enough for you? Cause if not, I have more.

That most of the pain and suffering in the world is due to organised religion, i don't have a problem with religious people, i have a problem with religions.
Don't say "i never participated in a war" because i'm not blaming you, i'm blaming the ravenous beast of a religion, which is fed by you, the blind followers.
There are extremist sects of every major religion in the world, people so blinded by their beliefs, that they think its morally right to kill someone who doesn't believe the same thing... i'm not only talking about muslims.. read the bible.. cos it says that in there too.
If there was no religion, the world would be a better, safer, more just place.
*i should also add that i am a strong supporter of personal beliefs (although i am atheist) i can see how its healthy for some people to believe in a god one way or another... just make up your own damn mind, don't read a book of fairy tales and swallow it all.*

I personally have no beef with religious people, but I have noticed some Atheists on YAnswers bash religious people. That hurts all Atheists when they do that. You can't insult someone into not believing.
I guess some Atheists use it as a weapon just as some religious people do.

I think most religous people are fine. I have a number of friends who are quite religious. The ones I have a problem with are those that would like to see my country change into a theocracy, go out to actively promote obedience to dogma over critical thinking, and others who just don't know when to mind their own business. I have no patience for solipsists and the self-righteous. Likewise, there are some atheists I can't stand.

I really don't have any "beef" with any religious person unless they try to convert me (even then my "beef" is that they tried to convert me, not their beliefs). Many religious folks also want to cross that church/state division because they're convinced they're right (but once again that's the action not their opinion I have a problem with).
Sure I think they're incorrect about reality, but it's an unproveable conclusion so I don't fault them for coming to the wrong conclusion.

I have none. It is my personal choice to be Athiest, and I respect people that choose to have religious beliefs. However, what I don't like about most (and i say most as not all are like this) religious people is the stubbornness and complete narrow-mindedness they have. They have no curiosity about other religions or opinions. I think it is important to learn about ALL religions and then decide WHY you want to be a part of that religion, instead of being content to be born into something.

My issue with religious people is that most refuse to accept the fact that I do not believe what they believe and just leave me alone. Instead, they must rile me up, and shove me into a debate when I am not in the mood to debate with them. Plus, debating with them is fruitless, because while I base my arguments of scientific fact, they base theirs of some old book that there is no proof is true. It's extremely frustrating.

Do I really have to list them for the millionth time on here? I should just type it all in a word file and copy and paste given the unbelievable number of times someone asks this question.
Short short version... Atheists do NOT care what religion you are, they care when you try to use your religion to justify forcing everyone else to do what YOUR religion says or harass them about your beliefs because YOU think its the right thing to do.

I have no beef other then the fact that a lot of them seem mean, intolerant, and disrespectful of the fact that other views exist in this world beside their own...
