it is a leash that you attach to a special cat halter (or special collar). Cats can walk with halter and leash if they are leash-trained. Both my cats go walkies with me on a leash. Naturally, if you do not think you can control your cat well, do not take him out to the sidewalks and expect him to walk with you the same way a dog will do - the back yard or fenced in garden will do. As you and the cat get more experienced, and as your confidence in handling a cat on a leash grows, you can venture on the sidewalks - but always when the neighborhood is quiet (no zooming cars, no dogs, no people wandering around). Cats get spooked easily and yes, they can wriggle out of any halter and leash.

its a lead for a cat. Like a dog lead exept its like a little harness that gos around the cats body allowing you to walk it. I dont really think a cat would enjoy it much as they are very independent creatures. if your cat goes outside anyway there isnt any point as its already getting excercise. I believe they are really for house cats, ill cats and any other cat thet is unable to get excerise unsupervised.

I think it is a different name for a leash. When I walk my cats outside, i got a harness to put on the cat, more comfortable, and a leash or lead to attach to. That's my thought anyway!!!

Something that doesn't work, trust me. I almost lost my cat thinking I could walk him on a lead like a dog, but cats are escape artists.
