It seems that you are better at spelling than responding to questions. My question is based on the fact that this is a site about Spirituality and Religion. Atheists have no religion and are not really spiritual, so my question is why are you bothering with christians and their view points. I'm sure there's alot of sites talking about mother earth, father sky, etc.

Victor... first... yes, we believe in communicating effectively and that means typing in a legible way. Second, you confuse belief with interest... I am always interested in what the religious right is trying to legislate and teach in schools. Lastly... I have the right to express myself in this forum, the same as you. I hope to have some fun and interesting exchanges with you in the future... and I mean that in a positive way!

Victor, I am neither Atheist (yes, spelled correctly) nor Christian, but this question gets asked so many times, I finally started answering it to (hopefully) shed some light to those in the dark.

If you were "spiritual" you wouldn't be here right now trying to harass the Atheists. The object of all spirituality is LOVE. (Where is yours?)

Yes, this site is about Spirituality and Religion. Why do you assume that Atheists are not spiritual? Even if they weren't, there is no password to enter this site ... all are welcome. Many Atheists are here because Christians try to legislate a way of life in this country and they are fighting for their personal freedoms.

"Mother earth, father sky, etc" .... that's weak ammunition!

Spread some love instead of hate.

This site's topics are Religion & Spirituality, not Pro-Religion & Pro-Sprituality.
And you might like to remember that there are many other religions than Christianity, also there are many ideas about what Spirituality is or is not. I don't think I have ever read a completely satisfying definition of what spirituality is...do you know what spirituality is? does anyone know?

I know you are very interested in atheism, don't be scared (I can smell a conversion here and I'm not even interested in converting, anyone}...be brave, I'll hold your hand!

There is a distinction between spirituality IN religion, and spirituality as OPPOSED to religion.

You dont have to believe in any god/s or follow a specific religion in order to be spiritual. I am a spiritual agnostic for example, I dont believe in god (but I dont discount the possibility) and I have my own spirituality as opposed to religion. My spiritual life is unique and belongs only to me, that doesnt mean I cant be interested in discussing it with others or asking about other peoples spirituality. Also everyone is allowed to ask questions about religion no matter what they personally believe. Do you also think that this section should be reserved for the followers of just one religion or another? I think not.. everyone is allowed to come here and ask/answer whatever questions they like as long as they act with decency.. if people are misbehaving and just being rude you can report them for abuse.. however sharing different viewpoints is not abuse and insulating yourself from different opinions doesnt make them disappear. You dont have to be religious to be curious about religion and spirituality, and you dont have to be religious to ask questions in this category.

Some pagans view gods and goddesses as figurative instead of literal, and some pagans have no deities at all. Also, many pagans are pantheistic--the universe/nature is god. This is often confused with atheism by some people because it does not acknowledge a particular deity. So, yes, one can be an atheist pagan--but most choose the term "non-theistic pagan."

Actually, while we are here, we are discussing religion and our opinions on of it. So why shouldn't we do it here? I don't believe everything I see on tv is real, but I still watch shows and talk about them with my friends.
And btw, this is the religion forum, not the christianity forum. People can come here to talk about any religion, including mother earth and father sky, if they want to.

A) Despite your correct spelling, based on your comments, you seem to not know the definition of Atheist. Father Sky what?

B) Anyone can contribute to this conversation.

C) Christianity, being the dominate religion of today, effects all of us. As non-Christians we should probably be more concerned and talk about it even more than you do.

The only ones I respond to in this section are the ones that are addressed to atheists specifically. I don't COME to the Religion section looking for questions about things that have nothing to do with me.

You do realize that lots of questions to and about us is what got many of us here, right? I never looked until I saw a question like that on the main page...so really I'm not to blame if you don't like my presence...
