I have a 90 lbs GSD/Rhodesian mix 11 month old dog that is an angel. The only thing she does is she chews her bedding. I got her a (semi) expensive one, and she has a hole in it already. I don't want her to ruin it, but if I put it down, the first thing she does is attacks it and starts tearing at it.

She doesn't do this to my chairs, my couch, or anything else.

Is there anything I can do, or spray on the bed, that will make it unappetizing...but not make it stink to where she won't lay on it?

Thanks!

have given my 8 mo old Boxer puppy a lot of bones.
she chews and shakes them until they are dead. She chews her own toys and nothing else. I am going to say ...real beef bones
boiled for 10 mins and cooled.
put it on her bed she will start ignoring her bedding.Don't respond to her ripping up her bedding. Just take it away for an hour or so , ( do fix that hole ! )and give her a bone to chew. it will distract her. and she needs to gnaw for her teeth and it calms her.
My dog likes to dig when she is bored...yours chews.lol
throw a ball for her and when she is pooped out she will chew on the bone and take a nap. Good luck!!

Go to Petsmart or any pet shop or order on line and buy a spray they have to keep a dog from chewing on furniture, etc. I have a spray bottle by Grannick's bitter apple which says it's a taste deterrent and training aid for dogs. It was invent by a pharmacist in 1960 and discourages fur biting, hair chewing and hot spots.

I wouldn't let her have it when your not around to watch her you don't want her getting any of the in her stomach it could cause lots of problems. I'm going through the same thing right now I have a 11 month old Lab who is about 80lbs and I haven't been able to leave him with a bed to sleep on in his crate at night cause I'm scared he will chew it up and swallow the pieces.

I would desire to disagree with alot of the previous solutions...my canines gets quite some interest, workout, and would not wreck different issues, yet i'm no longer able to have a mattress for her as she would be waiting to tear it aside. I in simple terms gave up on paying for beds for her. one element I on no account tried became putting the bitter spray (you may get at any puppy save) on it. do no longer positioned warm sauce on it!

there are some sprays but the problem is it is to keep a dog/cat off of funiture and it doesnt stink to humans but the dog/cat wont go near it either, you can try asking some one at a pet store and see what they think that will probably be your best bet.

try bitter apple spray. I would suggest however a new bed, orvis and many other retailers sell dog beds specifically made for dogs who chew
