I've raised beagles for five years, and normally they don't start really walking until between three and four weeks after birth. If you want to help this process, go in with the dame and get her to come to you. So long as the puppies can SEE their mother, they will move to her when cold or hungry, which might expedite movement. If they aren't active at least with each other by the fifth week, then something is wrong even if they shy away from people. I encourage you to hold them, even when they cannot see so they grow accustomed to the smell and touch of people. They fear you for your size and because they know no other life forms save their mother. Feel free to contact me any time about dogs. They are like my kids.

They sort of crawl first you'll see them doing that almost right away but then in about 3 weeks you will see them make some wobbly attempts at walking and about two weeks after that you will have trouble keeping them confined to a box and you'll be chasing them all over! Have Fun!

They will start crawling at just a few days old, but it take about 3 weeks for them to start trying to walk and they usually can walk very well by 5 weeks.

usually about 3 weeks, sometimes less just depends on a dog, like babies there is really no way to tell how soon they will walk but 3 weeks is about the time that they all start walking
