When I was a teenager (when I shouldn't have been drinking) I could drink all night long get a few hours sleep and feel great the next day. Now I am 26 and if I barely get a good buzz I feel like crap the next day. Is there anyhting that can help you not have a hangover? I am not a heavy drinker but I do like to go out sometimes on the weekends.

Lots of right answers here, but the top answer is drink water, as much as you can in-between, but if not, then drink at least 4 glasses before you even think of going to bed. If you can, eat before you start or take some of the milky antacids, like Maalox, if you can't get to food. Also - clear alcohol - rum, vodka, gin, - create less of an issue than liquors, whiskey and other colored alcohols. Stick with one type of alcohol - the more you mix, the worse it gets. Most after hangover aids don't help - and I've never been able to drink alcohol when I've had a hangover - so preparation might be key. A lot of times after heavy drinking, I can't sleep long, then get up, drink lots more water and juice, and try to sleep more when you can. I also take vitamin C in high doses, that has helped as well, but only if you take it regularly over an extended period.
Or - just don't drink - but then, I've tried that too and a nice buzz is not a bad thing...
Have fun

Bananas ~ One of the quickest ways to cure a hangover is to make a banana milkshake sweetened with honey. The banana helps calm the stomach, and with the honey, builds up the depleted blood sugar levels. The milk soothes the stomach and rehydrates your system. Bananas are also rich in the important electrolytes, magnesium and potassium, which are severely depleted during heavy drinking. Also drink a lot of water.

Take care,hon!

Get up in the morning and drink a beer. Believe it or not, it works because it slows down your metabolism and relieves some of the pain of the hyperactive brain cells. Just one.
Forget coffee. It takes 14 hours from your last drink to filter out of your liver and out of your system. Always remember that.

Drink LOTS of water before going to sleep and when waking up the next day. I also found that the next day take one pill of Gravol and another one later on in the day. But do eat before the 2nd one

First, make sure you eat well before drinking.
Second, take some aspirin before going to bed.
Third, rehydrate yourself the next day with water or juice.

PS Greasy food like McDonalds, and a milk shake always help too!

There are a couple products you can take that are supposed to stop hangovers. I believe one is called Chaser or something along those lines. I don't know how well they work though.
