These are some practical tips quoted from the internet:

1: Avoid stress at work. It's a huge factor in ulcers, because you have no way to express anger in the workplace. If you gnash your teeth all day at work, consider changing jobs, joining a support group or seeing a counselor

2: Check your blood type. People with type O blood are 35 percent more susceptible to getting ulcers than those with type A, B or AB. If you are type O, you may want to pay attention to your lifestyle, especially your level of stress.

3: Speak your mind. Learn to say how you feel without sounding harsh or being hurtful. Learn to use "I" statements like, "I feel ... ," rather than, "You are ... ."

4: Avoid taking aspirin or other analgesics on an empty stomach. Don't drink coffee or take vitamin C on an empty stomach. Avoid highly acidic diets and pepper. Use common sense. Don't eat six pickles for lunch on an empty stomach.

5: Have a test to see whether you have the helicobactor pylori bacteria if your family is prone to ulcers.

6: Eat healthfully and drink eight glasses of water a day. Eating lots of high-fiber foods will keep your digestive system in peak performance.

7: Exercise aerobically at least four times a week. Exercise reduces the harmful effects of stress and leaves you feeling relaxed and calm.

Ulcers have frequently been the target for humor in describing the stereotypical aggressive, pressured, goal-or-career-oriented person. While this behavior may aggravate an existing ulcer, it doesn't cause an ulcer. A bacterium (helicobacter pylori) causes ulcers, and you aren't going to get rid of an ulcer without medical treatment to kill all the ulcer-causing bacteria. What you can do is lower your risk of allowing the bacteria to flourish in the first place.

Milk helps as it puts a slight coating on the ulcer. You do not eat spicy foods that irritate the ulcer. They now treat ulcer with antibiotics now, The MDs finally figured out what to do. Like losing weight, there is a food intake of non spicy food which can irritate the ulcer. This is if you do not go to a doctor.

You can buy creams at the store, but your mouth is the area of your body that heals wounds the fastest. A great way to cure a sore throat or an ulcer from biting your lip or whatever is to get a cup of hot to mildly warm water, and pour salt in it. This is called a saline solution. Mix the salt in good with the water and swish it around your mouth for 30 second rounds. If your throat is sore, gargle it like mouthwash. Do this until all of the saline solution is gone, spitting it out into the sink after your 30 second intervals.

This will numb the pain of your sore and speed up the healing process tremendously.

Stomach ulcer? Have you actually been diagnosed and had blood work show as positive that you have the H Pylori bacteria in your bloodstream? Milk can alleviate some pain however you will need some medication to heal the ulcer inside of your stomach.

You need to see a Doctor.

It is true that certain spicy foods can aggravate an ulcer, but research has shown that spicy foods do not cause ulcers.

You need a Gastroenterologist. They may scope your stomach and prescribe you drugs. Most ulcers are caused by a bacteria called H. Pylori and may need antibiotics.
