After 30 years my old boyfriend and I got back together.He's retired and living in Florida.I live in the sothern part of midwest.He has a grown daughter and son who live there. His parents are deceased. His other son and 3 grandchildren live 1 hour from me.My parents are elderly and can't move. My divorced daughter and grandchildren live in my city.We want to get married but neither one will move. He hates the cold (2 months out of the year) I won't leave my parents. Any solutions? Are we doomed again?

I know a couple like this.. he had a good job 300 miles away from where she had a good job. They made it work and this is how, he would visit one weekend, she would visit the other weekend. If you truly want to make it work then go for it. You can live in one place for part of the year and live in the other place the other part. I am sorry but if he says that he hates the cold and it is only 2 months out of the year, then be snowbirds, live in the mid west during the summer and Florida in the winter. He is retired and so I think that the ball is in his court. You have the family to worry about, he can turn up the heat.
