Have you ever wondered why God makes us who we are?I mean why he put us into our families, in this timeWwhy some are born into wealthy, middle class, or poor families. Why some are in much more nuturing homes while others are brought into homes where there is violence or abuse.Just came to my mind and I was wondering if anyone wanted to share their views.

I know some of you might say that it is random chance but assuming you believe in God do you really think anything he does is random.

He hopes to bring us into greater glory. In so many words, he wants us closer to him. The trials we go through are designed to that end. I have often wondered the same thing. It does not really seem fair. But it is designed for us to learn, to grow and ultimately to be like Jesus. Only then do we have a chance to see God.
It takes some people more to learn. Huh…. I must be a duntz…….

I don't belive that anything is left up to chance. God knew you before you were even born. And you know he has a purpose for you! And unfortuatly some people have to go through certian things in order to fullfill their purpose here on earth. God knew that it would take your parents to make you. He also knew the effects of living in a nurturing or and abusive home would have on you. All things including death are all in God's purpose. Most of the time we don't understand at the time. But belive me you will. Have you ever looked back on something and said man that was the greatest thing that could have ever happened to me. And then realized that it couldn't have happened if something awful hadn't happened before it?

I believe Hinduism calls it Karma. Gnosticism has a similar system of reincarnation. The idea is that what you do to someone in this life, the same will be done to you in your next life. The ultimate purpose is the growth of the spirit through experiential knowledge. You have to experience the things that will cause growth in the spirit. That means that you must experience things that are good, bad, and indifferent. In Gnosticism, the spirit will eventually reach a point of gnosis, or perfect knowledge. After which the spirit will return to the realm of light (the pleroma), to the Father.

God does not put us in any particular place. Since Adam and Eve, he has stepped back and allowed humans to do their own thing and in many cases, suffer the consequences. He gives us the choice of what we are going to do with the life we have and what we believe or do not believe. It is His desire that we learn to love Him and come into a personal relationship with him but again...that is our choice. Satan has the same plan for us...for us to have that relationship with him instead. He does this because he hates God and in the truest sense, he hates us too as he does not want us to be the children of God and have eternal life someday. Man is always asking why but there is no real answer. It just is.

Yes, I do. I think that God makes us different because if we were all the same.. how boring would that be? And the living in different situations I think is how he gives us all oppurtunities. To change, to believe in God, or to do something wonderful. Hope this helps.

I feel like we need to have all experiences in life, and since we can't do that in one life, we have multiple lives. The ability to overcome circumstances in life will lead to a better life the next time around.

I've always said if there really is a God out there somewhere, he just plays with the world like a giant SIMS game. "Earth: A sims adventure"

Nope... never wondered. It's all random chance. One sperm meets one egg (or combination thereof) and VOILA, there you are. Nothing supernatural or mystical about it.
