If you don't need it...

check the problems with regular marijunna use: - scroll down to see the brain images through spect scans.

(note to "No Way" re the doctor can't prescribe canibus legally: might be different in Canada than in the US. I don't know where the poster is from.)

You need to have some life altering illness that is debilitating enough that you cannot function without the aide of using medical marijuana.
I think your doctor needs to do an assessment on you before taking that matter further. There are some illnesses, like cancer, that is an option to use medical marijuana, but you need your doctor's approval, and the assessment, before that even becomes an option.
If you're just wanting it because of some personal issues, then you're not going to get the answer you want, from your doctor.
I'm sorry, there, buddy, but you need to be pretty ill to be using that stuff. I heard that my cousin was on that stuff, before he died, and he had Hep C. He also had another condition, like cancer, and the medical marijuana helped him get through the day, without so much pain, but he had every reason to use that, because it seemed to be the only thing that worked for him. He had to go through many other kinds of medicines to try to help him, and it was only when the doctor felt that no other medication was helping, that the medical marijuana was the last resort.

Probably none, because most likely, your doctor can't prescribe it. Even if you do live in a state which recognizes a medical usage for marijuana, he still probably won't prescribe it.

Regardless of what your state's law is, marijuana is still a Schedule I controlled substance under the federal Controlled Substance Act. Attempting to prescribe it will open your doctor to disciplinary action, including the revocation of his DEA registration. This action would essentially end his career. So it's very likely that he will not go out on that limb for you.

Even if he does, well, then you've got to find a pharmacy that will supply it or some other means of supply.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Tell him nothing, you have to bring in your medical records then he takes you into a room and examines you......

Lie if you want to, the money you will pay is none refundable!! When I went there were many to see the doctor but only a few of us got our cards....

Believe those others who have never tried for there cards, they do not care how you waste your money....

I know there are doctors in large cities that will literally prescribe it to anyone that goes in with pain complaints, and pays a fee. Most doctors wont prescribe it with anyone that requests it.

Doctors aren't stupid! They have enough education and brains to tell you're a weed head and would in no way believe you have glaucoma!
