In Monotheism(Judaism and CHristianity) there can only be ONE God. When Jesus became God in the flesh, the Holy Trinity was fully revealed to man. In Matthew, Jesus commanded the disciples to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Other passages allure to the Holy Trinity such as John 1:1-3. Jesus did not woship the Trinity because He was the Trinity(Son). THey definitely did not wear crosses at the time because it was disgraceful. Only later did the cross become the symbol of CHrist's victory over sin and death. Today the Cross is worn by Christians to remember his Resurrection. The sign of the cross originated much later. The sign preceded the words...In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Some references say it may have been a secret code for the underground CHristians that they were followers of CHrist. But since that time, the sign of the cross is a solid reminder of one's faith in God in the Holy Trinity. We worship the God of Abraham , Moses, and David. As well as Jesus the Son, and the HOly Spirit. ALthough they are 3 different manisfestations of God or persons, they are ONE and the same God. Not 3 gods, but ONE god in three persons.

The Trinity is in Jesus who is the One God. (Colossians 2:9)

Jesus only taught about One God (See Mark 12:29-33). If you think there are three gods, then you are not talking about the Trinity. You can have three gods, and you can put them together and say that this is a trinity, but that is something else. THE Holy Trinity is understood as being a reference to the One Divine Being, One God.

Christians worship the One God. The Trinity is seen as His Nature, not as God Himself. In some bibles, the Holy Trinity is simply refered to as the Godhead, same word, same meaning, just a variation of how we look at God. Read Acts 17:29-31, Romans 1:19-23, Colossian 2:9, 1 John 4:7 & 8 (Also see definitions for the Greek words: theios, theiotes, theotes)

As for the cross, the cross was considered a symbol of suffering and shame which Jesus was willing to bear as part of the price that He paid for us all (His death on the cross was the rest of the price). To understand this better, see the verses that are in context with the following list of verses: Eph 2:16, Php 2:8, Php 3:18, Col 1:20, Col 2:14, Heb 12:2. There are other verses too on the matter, but these do a pretty good job of explaining the cross.

All prayers used to be done through the priests who refered them to the High Priest, who then presented them directly to God. Jesus was and is qualified to be the current and eternal High Priest of God for us, so now we go directly to God through our High Priest, Jesus God's Christ. That is one reason why He is called Christ, because He is God's Anointed (Anointed as Saviour, Priest, and King).

Well that's the short answer anyway.

The trinity is not comprised of three separate Gods. God is singular but has three distinct parts. The Father (creator of all things) the Son (Jesus) who was a part of God that became man so he could teach, lead and suffer for us and finally the Holy Spirit which is the communication portion more or less. Jesus promised that the holy spirit would be in contact with mankind after His death and resurrection.

I'm sorry to answer your question with a question...but you know I don't see a way around it....How could Jesus have worshiped the Trinity....when he was part of it??? dosen't really make sense when you look at it like that right??....The trinity does consist of The father, THE SON, and the holy spirit.

The Holy Trinity=God THREE in ONE. We worship the God that is One, but also Three. I don't think we were meant to question how this works.

Jesus was a Jew worshiped one god and so were his disciples. They didn't call themselves Christians. Jesus certainly didn't worship himself. The Trinity concept came hundreds of years later.

Christians worship one God. John 1:1
Jesus was an example for us and a teacher. He was God in human form here. He gave us Holy Spirit, so God's Spirit is within us to guide us. I know, trinity is hard to understand.
