I have a friend who says he likes me, but he wont dump his g/f because he says that after going out with her for 4 years it's too hard, and he still cares about her? What's going on here?

i don't understand why he would like u if he's been going out with this girl for 4 years. and why would u let this get to u. one u shouldn't bother with this guy anymore since he has a girlfriend two would u like it if u were dating him for 4 years and decided to break up with u to go with another girl? already. u can see he's not trustworthy. what if he does that to u. are u just looking to set urself up to fall down? don't bother with this guy. tell him to get a life honestly. no girl should ever be put in a position. especially the girl who he's been dating. and if u go out with this guy, i bet u'd feel somewat guilty, if not then that's interesting! but best of luck. do what ur heart tells u. this guy isnt worth it. doesn't matter who he is. 4 years...

He's trying to juggle two relationship at one time. My friend has a similar problem with her ex-boyfriend. He came to her one day to talk and said that should he ever breaks up with this present girlfriend, he will definitely go back to my friend.
What kind of nonsense is this? I say the guy wants a back-up, should the present relationship falls through. And same for you too. Don't be used by him. By all means stay friends and stay that way.He's very likely to use the same lines on other girls once he get his hand on you.

Okay? and if he does have a gf eigther way this is a lose lose situation because someone is going to end up hurt now if he likes u enough he would get rid of her so you tell him im tired of waiting because there are too many fish in the sea to put your happiness on hold so go out get you a new outfit and find u a new man because hunny u have to wait for no one.

I am involved in the same situation- he has even cheated on his girlfriend numerous times with me and says that he is interested but I am not so sure anymore.
If he really does want you and is interested then he will break up with her, if he doesn't then I have got no idea what he is thinking.
Sometimes it would be great to get inside their head for a day just to see what is really going on :)

If he does not dump her, than he does not like you as much as her, this is an excuse to keep you on the side as a lover. Don't fall for it....watch Jerry Springer....-luck

Wow! looks like your friend really isnt your friend to be treating yo u like this! your 'friend' has been in a relationship that long it is starting to bore him, and you must seem like a breath of fresh air to him, but honey his main oxygen supply is his girlfriend he aint gonna split from her, its just a little fantasy land for him! so forget him, ive been in that situation before. Then he maybe could be using you.
Dont stick around and wait.
Just threatend him that you're gonna leave him if he doesn't leave his girl yet. If he says no wait, then forget him. Cause u dont wanna be the other girl

He does not want to leave his gf, but he still want to flirt with you. You should tell him even he dump her, you also won't want him.
