Some of the treaties with the Siuox and other larger tribes gave them their land. They also were promised health, food, etc. Many tribes sued the Govt (Land Claims) and received compensation for broken treaties or land stolen illegally. Our tribe was formed by Executive Order and had no treaty. But that didn't stop us from taking the govt to court on several land claims, which ended up in a settlement. Few of the claims have ever totally equalled to the value of what was lost...but that's just my opinion.

No there were no treaties honored with the Native Americans. You have to look at the plight of the Indians as this. They are a conquered people and the United States are by history of the US throughout history, liars. They honor nothing including to their own people. They have a secret police called the FBI and can and will justify practically anything. They carried out massive test on the people of the US during the 1950's by aerial spraying of metropolitan areas of chemicals to see what the result would be. This was done naturally without the knowledge of the people until the late 80's when it came to light. Our government is willing to use us for any purpose they seem fit at any time.

The answer is: The Government did not withhold any full treaty.
There are some treaties the government recognized but they would only recognize parts of the treaty as they saw fit. And many times they would go back and change their decision after they did that.

So the answer none is technically correct.

Disgusting, isn't it?

In 1992, I ran for Congress in Nevada, and this become between the topic matters I argued. on the time, the federal authorities become debating what to do with the Nevada attempt web site, a wide component of the state that were used as a finding out floor for nuclear guns. My combatants both had very intense priced authorities courses planned for the attempt web site. I argued that the attempt web site did not belong to the federal authorities, and that there have been federal treaties controlling the land. The incumbent Democrat purely stated that the federal courts had invalidated those treaties many years before, had unilaterally determined repayment, and the tribes in question had no more beneficial declare to it. In outcome, he argued that the federal authorities (the Courts) had determined that the federal authorities (the Congress and the President) were no longer required to save on with federal treaties. regrettably for me and for others who trust that those treaties must be honored, the tribal contributors in Nevada did not fairly hardship to tutor out to vote, I lost the election, and the persevered violation of the treaties has persevered. obviously, the U.S. ought to regulate to all of its treaties. both obviously, it does no longer.

The truce made by US government with American Indians were only on paper but not on actuality. Native Americans were deprived of their lands and their reservations were subject to US laws and their traditional practices were slowly eliminated.

I don't think there were any. It's a shame too since it is almost forgotten just how bad they had it. I hate that there is nothing to honor those lives lost, those people murdered. Nothing...I can't finish or I will just go off because this makes me so angry. I am so sick of hearing about other ethnic groups who were wronged but NEVER Native Americans. Why? Are they not as special? It makes me sick

Well there have to be some, or there wouldn't be any reservations. It is true that the overwhelming majority of treaties between the two parties were neglected.
